Grifball Court Looks Normal

Which is relieving, but also surprising.

To me, that looks like a shot of one side of midcourt, which means that the middle of at least one of our courts is leveled, but doesn’t rule out any spawn ramps for ground pounds and stuff (we also have to remember that grav hammers are giving us extra jump height, so there mya be no need for ramps at all).

If there are any changes to the courts, let’s hope there is at least one court that holds the classic layout.

if you REALLY look, they’re actually playing on a hockey ice rink. The blue ice with dark blue and red lines and the red dot. also notice the glass/ “sponsor” boards

I’d honestly be surprised to find any very complex Grifball courts. I think the map(s?) that we get with the update will be very close to classic. I know NOKYARD built one during the forge thing and he’s a longtime Grifball player. Not to mention, several of the 343 employees also play Grifball so they get that maps shouldn’t be cluttered.

Halo 3 had a couple unusual maps (Chichen Itza, Block Drop Court, Griball Up There, etc) but across that and the other games, the courts have been pretty much a flat court.

And if you really want “normal” maps, I know the Hub will have standard maps out the wazoo soon enough.

If not, The Forge we have is incredible enough for the community to make one that’s incredibly amazing and elaborately detailed.

What I’d like to know is if classic versions of the game types are being included. Including ones without Spartan Abilities.

Lol for some reason I neglected to realize that we could esily get flat grifball courts from the community.

Guess I had my tinfoil hat on a bit too tight.

Just slightly.

Seriously. There will be plenty of “traditional” Grifball maps out there. I know that’s what the AGLA will be using at the very least. Very likely the GGL as well but they may go for something a bit more fun; all depends on how the game plays.

I’m sure that wasn’t the very nice looking court they were talking about.
