do people camp kills in grifball?
Yes, for sprees, credits, stat padding(raising their kill death ratio). It’s one of the reasons why I avoid the playlist completely now. You’d think it’s an objective game right? except that these people just treat it like slayer.
It’s sad, but extremely true. There are very few people that play it the way it’s supposed to be played. They usually hide in regular Grifball.
Being a Grifballer I welcome the people looking for an easy kill. You can try and spawn kill me and/or you might succeed for a bit, but make a mistake and I’ll have my revenge. You’ll rage quit, just give up, or will just plain lose before I do. I’ll get my kills and bring your K/D down.
Did I mention, since the last TU, that Grifball now gives out the highest amount of credits per game depending on kills and bombs planted. I’ll have some kills and if I score 3 times, I’ll still recieve more credits than you with your whole team spawn killing combined.
I also like the ones that need to team up to kill you. Keep running my way and that exterm will be mine
I have <mark>SOOO much commentary to add</mark> to this, but due to a statement from 343, I am muzzled on this topic. All I say other than keep looking through the Reach posts and you’ll see where I got into a fight is…PM me and I’ll tell you the sumed up version of what happened.

thats what happens when players find a certain gametype / playlist is easy to exploit.
I feel griffball shouldn’t even be an ‘offical’ playlist anyways. It should just stay in customs where it belongs. It sounds like it gets abused in real matchmaking and I don’t blame players for abusing it. If there is a will there is a way players will find a way to not play by the rules until 343 changes it. If I had to play it I too probably wouldn’t care about the objective. I don’t find playlists that don’t have a gun / DMR fun at all.

I have been called a bad player, or even a try hard for actually doing the objective in Grifball numerous times. Every time it happens now it just gets more and more depressing. Should i be feeling bad for preventing my team for camping kills? No. I do not and will not. I would rather get the bomb planted and win over camping for a full 25 minutes and have the game end 0-0.
