While having Grifball return to matchmaking I am really enjoying it like I did with Grifball back in Reach and Halo 3. However the ban rule in Grifball I feel is going to cause players some trouble. In Grifball, accidental betrayal will occur quiet frequently. There are going to be those players that will boot you out of the game just because your were trying to get a kill or kill the ball carrier and they were just in the way. In Grifball accidents will happen but I don’t think booting should be the option. Just like the previous Halo games I think that the ban rule should not apply to Grifball. I was booted in a game for killing the enemy ball carrier and my teammate was accidently killed in the aftermath. I do understand that there are people who are nice to not boot players during Griball, but there are still those who boot for there own selfish reasons. Let me know what you guys think of the ban rule in Grifball. Does it help so trolls cant teamkill you or does it not help when players get booted just for playing the game and accidents occurring.
I agree that the policy needs to be tweaked for grifball. The boot is annoying, but fine, the ban is ridiculous. Most betrayals on griff are by way of accidents. Only a very small amount of players are attempting to go around blowing up their team on purpose, which is when/why I think the boot is effective. I just recently got banned for betrayals on griff and all my betrayals are accidental/circumstantial… things that just happen from time to time on griff. Since, betrayals are largely inevitable in griff I think applying a ban is a bit ridiculous. Hope this gets fixed.

- This thread is really old. Maybe you should’ve just created a new topic
- This problem has been fixed already.

I havent played in a long time. How did they fix it?
Yeah you shouldnt be kicked for accidental betrays in grifball. This has been an issue since the gametypes conception.
I still get banned. One of the maps kept spawning me at a wrong location, kept getting suicide and now I’m banned for 5 hours.
I am the type of the person that will kick you if I get the chance. This is because you should be smart enough to know not to use the gravity hammer near teammates

really? This problem is fixed? That’s funny because I just got banned for too many betrayals. 343 needs to lift the booting and banning policy on grifball. It’s ridiculous, Halo 5 has been I’ve fail after another.
Yeah I am definitively still having this problem. This needs to be fixed.

Laughs Uncontrollably Why’d you bring a thread back that’s older than a month? Please don’t revive old threads thanks.
