If you guys didn’t see it, the February update preview showed us the Gravity Hammer (which you can ground pound with by the way!) and a few new maps and weapon skins. Also, it was announced earlier in the stream that we’d be getting Grifball, a successor to Assault, and Oddball next month. HYPE!

So many infection wanters crying and whining about no infection. Seriously I bet they are making it and making better visuals for it.
Not sure where you’re getting oddball from, but grifball and therefore assault was hinted at pretty heavy handedly.
All ball gametypes will come next month.

They said in the stream that the options that come with this new mode will allow us to recreate oddball and ricochet.
Did they say why it couldn’t be included at launch like every other Halo game to date?

Yes. So they are saying it’s up to the community to create them and available as custom games.
plus he said gamemodes not gamemode so theres more than 1 could be infection too just aint showing us yet
I’m just curious about the Groundpound/spartancharge/thrusters in Grifball. I loved H4 Grifball but I don’t see it playing the same with all those spartan abilities, it would take away the use of the hammer much in my opinion.
Serious red flag when I hear the word “recreate” mentioned.
Awwww I really wanted to play ricochet in matchmaking
hopefully theyll throw it in as a sub game type similar to swatnums

Well, in past implementations of grifball (At least, with Reach), they did have separate variants that turned off some of the past abilities. So, considering that the H5 abilities can be turned off easily, they could offer that option as well. For variety.
I’m ready for some H5 Ricochet… and Oddball… and King.

I really, really don’t know why I’m surprised and, moreover, disappointed. Should’ve seen it coming.

…uh…why is it “up to the community” to create things that the developers should have created? That just screams laziness.

Um, no, they’re saying that they can toggle these options to provide us with a variety of different game modes. Isn’t SWAT a variant of Slayer? And look, it’s in matchmaking.
