If I am understanding the bulletin correctly, in the current build of the game, there are custom options to set Grifball to its traditional settings while there are none to set CTF to its traditional settings. Am I correct?
They confirmed a classic playlist, so they’ll definitely put in the option for sticky flag. Especially since they announced that you can still change it so that you reset the flag while standing on it in the bulletin, along with a few other settings.
If their custom engine works like in Reach, then they’ll probably have the setting in the same category as customizing the symmetry of the gametype.

Not gonna lie, that was really the least of my concerns with the CTF changes haha but thanks for your reassuring post.
There needs to be 4 options to disable:
-sticky flag
-locked flag
-carrier waypoint
-Flagnum
or just a toggle between New and Classic settings.
Also no flag carrier cooldown please.

I put that in there to show you that 343 is still helping the classic fans.
With how far 343i is going to create a Halo game that emphasizes customization, I’d be surprised if those custom options for CTF did not exist.
