When people spawn trap in any halo’s griffball.
They aren’t planning to score they are going for kills, and only kills.
If there were 8 possible spawn locations with spawn zones over each.
6 on regular area and 2 on left and right wall.
>>>
If someone was standing near one you would spawn “not Infront of them?”
Spawn trapping was never good for anyone.
Getting killed before you can move isn’t fun or fair.
And is “boosting / farming” and should be made difficult to do.
It does suck when you spawn in and the other team is all up in your grill, lol! They should add some more toward the center, so if the enemy is deep on your side, you spawn in toward the center until that changes…
This will never happen. They need to swap the start weapons so the hammer is first in order to have any chance of getting out of a spawn trap. The game has been set with this spawn system over the past 3 generations of grifball, it will not change.

This^ Just last night I was telling about73pups we should spawn with a hammer to turn around in case of becoming trapped. However, thrust does do well preventing spawn trapping so it’s as easy to trap as it use to be.

For tactical purposes, the spawns need to stay the same. Being able to spawn trap is a tactic to win (although abused by many). Regardless, it’s been in Grif since Halo 3 days.
So I am not the only one who noticed… it’s the reason I went from a winning to a losing streak in Grifball recently (heck, it’s always been my strongest playlist and I was slayed the moment I stepped back on the map!) since someone from the opposing team would off us when we respawned and the other team would use the downtime to score their goals…
And I was hellbent on getting a six win streak in the game and try and go for Onyx (not bothering in other playlists) for once!

Back then it wasn’t that common and it was easier to escape from it. Nowadays once you do, your only hope is someone can kill the -Yoink- first…

I noticed that for some reason, sometimes I punched someone even though I used the hammer. Yes, I do have stuff to complain and yell in their faces…

Strategy for a win, I can see that.
But trapping until the timer runs out and purposefully not scoring.
I know it’s always been a “thing” but when the spawns are invaded and you die before you can react. 4 enemies 4 spawns, no chance at not being a whack-a-mole…

Think of it this way: The chance that you might get spawn trapped should encourage you to play a harder game. I’m not saying get better, just play on the defense if you’re with randies. If you have a team, practice coordination, which will most likely prevent a spawn trap.

Short invulnerability I like it.
I miss traits, I miss carriers being able to strint too.
There are three spawns on each side of the bomb plate. The spawn in the middle has priority 1. The two other spawns have priority 0. If an enemy is near the outside spawns on both sides, you will spawn in the middle, emergency spawn, if you will. This, coupled with the option to choose your starting weapon before you spawn, cough hammer cough should alleviate some pressure from spawn trappers abusing the tactic.
I disagree with adding any spawn point at the corners, because if any enemy is approaching your side with the ball about to score you’re going to spawn too far away to have any chance of stopping them.
