Grenades

I cant quite place my finger on it, but something about the grenades is off.
In all the other halos, you throw one to start off a fight, to give you that initial advantage, or on the path to a power weapon so you can intercept someone who is rushing it. Not using nades was a real risk to take because it left you both on a much more equal footing and they could turn around and kill you after you already got a few shots off at them.

In this, you just open up with whatever and theyre dead, or switch to pistol and headshot them when you run out of AR ammo. The grenades are always an afterthought, for getting someone thats ducked behind cover with no shields. I havent once even needed to select a specific nade for a task, much less had any need to brute-grenade a stairwell etc like in H3.

It doesn’t feel like CoD (that was H4), but it feels like something about the grenades themselves has changed too much from H5. Is it the range? Bounce? Explosive radius?

i dont know what your referencing as nades in general in past halos were generally an afterthought outside of openers. You threw what you had whether it be fire, plasma, frag, spike. That being said, heres a possible explanation

  • its a pain in the -Yoink- to switch between nades cause of their UI decision and a pain to see what you haveThis alone can make people just throw what they have, regardless of type.

They need to have 1 grenade starts and have longer timers on them on the map. Live Fire is a great map that could be better with this.

Sometimes I feel like some people here just aren’t playing the same game. Literally constant explosions.

I use grenades all the time throughout matches. Banking them off walls and one shotting.
