Let me begin with me saying this: I’m not trying to be a whiny little -Yoink-. I’m just putting out my opinion, which is what forums are for, right?
I have always thought that the grenades in Arena and Warzone are quite jarring. I think I’m doing well, melting people with a SAW or my DMR and then suddenly 3 or 4 grenades magically appear from the open heavens, destroying my shields and eating my health. I’m left exposed, naked and vulnerable to stray bullets. My shields begin their recharge cool down; but before I get that magnificent sounding noise of a recharging shield, a frag grenade slams into the side of my head and blows off half my face along with my confidence.
All I’m asking is that grenades in Arena have reduced range, as the maps are small and that grenades in Warzone do a little bit less damage to people.
Just a suggestion, don’t kill me.

Grenades make big boom too much. I would like some form of nerf, please don’t kill me.

I think that frag grenades should be heavier. I get that we are super soldiers, but in all fairness I shouldn’t be able to throw a 100-yard touchdown frag grenade, especially when me and everyone else has grenades, usually two. It just makes them annoying rather than strategic.
Honestly, I think they are working as intended, though I find that the spamming is a tad menacing. Only thing I can think of is just do it like in warzone assault where everybody starts with 1.

No one is going to kill you, I simply disagree with you. Play CE before you complain about grenades. In Halo 5 bounce is fine and 1 shield strips a second kills.

This! I’ve always thought we should spawn with 1 instead of 2. To reduce the amount of nade spamming done. It was bad in some games in Halo 3 where people would have 2 of all 3 grenade types allowed in MM and just spam the hell out of them all at once.
I’m thrilled that the grenades are better than they were a few months ago (they used to have no friction when hitting the ground and bounced like they were made of flubber).
As far as splash damage goes, yeah it’s a bit too big.
IMO they should reduce the splash area a little and add the explosive push effect back in that was removed in this game (i.e. grenade jumping is not possible anymore but should be). And, in the place of that splash damage that has been removed, add a concussion zone that only messes with the sound and vibrates the screen (like it currently does when a scorpion shoots a wall on the opposite side of where I’m standing).
The only thing I think they need to change is having a way to tell how much health you lose by getting hit with a grenade. Let me explain. In H3 you could tell whether you were hit severely with grenade damage, I think even your screen turned red. But if you barely got hit with a tiny bit of splash damage you hardly felt or saw anything on your screen.
I’ve noticed a lot in H5 where I will get hit with minimal splash damage but it feels and looks the same as if a grenade blew up right underneath me.
