If you did not check out my previous thread to the analysis series I posted a couple of minutes ago, please do. It addresses the new Ordnance System and how it can factored by “killstreaks”

Grenades seemed much weaker than their Reach counterparts. Part of this might be audio - one thing I learned during the course of the evening was how important audio can be, especially when it’s not there. I’m pretty sure, however, that they’ve simply been toned down. This is great from the ‘grenade spam’ standpoint, but makes life a little tougher for folks who rely on grenades because their gun skills aren’t quite up to par.
Seems like Grenades will be weaker in Halo 4. I like this idea, and it really eliminates the “spamming.” Players will have to be more reliant on their gun skills.
> I thin just starting with one grenade instead of 2 would be a big help, but yes a lot of people do seem to use grenades as a primary weapon in Reach.
My next “Analysis Series” will address “perks” that are being added to Halo 4. Stay tuned for that
Yes I would like weaker grenades and people should only spawn with 1. This will cut down on the number of grenades thrown and increase gunplay. Also with only 1 grenade you have to be smarter about how you use it.
What I want to know is if they actually made the grenades weaker or did they make it so health isn’t so pitiful?
The problem with Grenades in Reach and for that matter the Melee in Halo 3/Bleedthrough Reach, was that the health had barely more than half the hitpoints of shields. So if you took really any damage to your shields you were screwed if you get hit by one grenade or melee.
I hope that grenades are less powerful because the Health and shield have equal hitpoints(Like CE THIS DOES NOT AFFECT KILLTIMES) rather than the yoinki!ng stupid system in place in H2-Reach. I would rather have decent grenades balanced by reasonable health rather than pitiful grenades out of necessity to balance a pitiful health system.
Reach grenades wouldn’t be too bad in H4 since the overall jump height and movement speed increased making it easier to dodge out of the way for less damage.

This.
Halo always had nade spamming… even with the drastically weaker Halo 2 and Halo 3 nades especially coming off of Halo 1. Nade spamming just goes hand in hand with Halo, how are people delusional about this? Nerfing the nades will not reduce nade spam…
I really like that grenades aren’t mini nukes like in Reach, damage wise, and that jump height is increased beck to regular height. Jump height was half of the problem with Reach grenades, anyway.
I fail to see any “analysis” taking place in your OP. In fact, all it seems like you’re doing is just posting what the rest of us already know… Not trying to sound harsh, but it’s the truth.
