Grenades of Halo 4

I was curious, I don’t know if there’s any official thing on them or not but I remember reading about there will be 4 different types.

I’m willing to bet there are stickies and frags. Now for the other two I have a hunch there will be an EMP grenade (kinda like from the epsiode HeadHunters just way less powerful). And I don’t know about the 4th, did they say there will be spike or flame 'nades? Because I certainly hope there’s no grenades similar to stun or flash… Especially considering the VISR should be able to handle the flash and the armour the stun.

I’m expecting the Brute one to return, alongside a new type of grenade that would belong to the new species.

Frag
Plasma
Dark Matter (Placeholder for an ancient evil grenade)
E.M.P.

I believe that in Matchmaking it caused framerate issues.

Halo needs more Fire. Fire grenade is my hope…

Fire grenades would be awesome if they returned. Imagine throwing a random fire grenade (similar to throwing a random plasma) and all of a sudden you see the Incineration medal pop up. I would be all happy faced :smiley:

One of the grenades is probably going to be a pulse grenade. it’ll deal little damage, but have a powerful shock wave affect and send everything that isn’t bolted down flying.

i think each grenade that is made should have different pros and cons
for example:
the plasma g is the most lethal and can stick to opponents but cannot be thrown very far or ricocheted and it has an average blast radius
the spike grenade is also pretty lethal, can stick to an opponent, thrown farther than the plasma however the blast radius is much smaller
the fire grenade has the largest radius and takes damage over time instead of instant kill. It cannot ricochet and can’t be thrown far
the frag grenade is the weakest in terms of damage but can be ricocheted and thrown farther and has a blast radius that is a little larger then the plasma g

these are just my ideas although im not sure if throw distance would really make a difference i just thought it would make sense because some grenades could weigh more than others.
