Compared to ANY Halo game, these grenades are firecrackers. When i throw two plasma grenades and they miss but both are within four feet of him and still fail to kill him, its kind of stupid.
Yeah they REALLY need to change them back to normal.

I like them. Slightly bigger radius than Halo3, but not the mini-nukes of Reach. I haven’t been dying every other death from a grenade thrown down a narrow corridor with no room to dodge, after taking light damage. I don’t have to spend the first couple weeks of this game re-evaluating how I view corners because the grenades are balanced.
Yes, they are a little weaker than Reach, but I like that - they still get the job done if used correctly. One thing that may make them feel less powerful is the maps. There is now actually room to dodge grenades on these maps (no more Sword Base, Uncaged, Reflection, etc. with their long narrow corridors or bridges).
They nerfed them because we complained about how powerful they were in Reach.

I’ve gotten pretty good at sticking people, but I have noticed quite a few fly through the body of the guy running straight at me.
And getting more on topic, grenades don’t really seem to kill unless it is a stick. I’ve watched people walk over a couple grenades and still come out of it with shields. Since most would be pretty limited to two grenades each time they spawn, would have thought they would be decently powerful still. Maybe not to the point of Reach but at least close to it.

If by “suck” you mean actually take skill to gets kills with then yes, they really suck.
The reason grenades are underwhelming is because they can be buffed with the perks. If they were anywhere close to Reach’s grenades then a player with explosives and grenadier could clear spawns. Clonclusion, leave the grenades alone. Except give us four of them in Slayer Pro.
I think grenades are just fine but I have had the issues with stickies ghosting though people.

Its set up the way it is to balance it for being a starting load out grenade.
Grenades were toned down so that the grenade damage boost perk didn’t become overpowered.
No they cant. At least not in the way you’re thinking of. The only perks are the Support Upgrade ‘Explosives’ which BUFFS radius but DECREASES damage. The Tactical Package ‘Grenadier’ just increases the capacity of the grenade.
Grenades are perfect in this game stop crying.
