Anyone else want to see grenades return to Halo 3’s style? less bouncy/blow up faster/less damage?
i find grenades are a huge part in halo and helps flush campers out…but in reach it’s like they bounce so much it’s hard to place them properly, they also do wayy too much damage when tehy do happen to land near people.
After bouncing a nade in reach it takes too long for it to blow up…thus you cant even use them to save ur life if someone gets the drop on you…it’s very rare i throw a clutch nade and stay alive.
^^this is how halo 2 and 3 really worked…and i think halo 4 should return to this.
> the radius of the grenades in reach were way to big… I hope the grenades in halo 4 are a lot better…
yes the radius too…i forgot to mention that lol. even so…you can kill someone with a full shield with 1 grenade…if halo 4 is like that i’m going to be extremely disapointed.
It would be difficult to flush out campers with grenades that don’t bounce around corners.
I would like to see the return of the faster-exploding frag grenades. It made the choice between a frag and a sticky grenade more of a trade-off instead of making plasma grenades power weapons.

well…keep the bounce…but if it blows up faster it wont bounce as far is what i mean…
Yeah for me personaly the grenades in halo 3 were perfect, they were used tactically to assist with your kill. Where as in Reach people rely on there grenades to secure there kill rather than following up with there weapon.
Halo 3’s style? lmao, I miss being able to carry up to 8 grenades. I would encounter more grenade spamming in Halo 3 than I would in Halo: CE and Halo 2 combined.
> shooting grenades happen wayyyy too much in reach
But it’s so cool! Heck, Rooster Teeth wouldn’t be able to show Fails of the Weak without that bit of physics!
Plus, 343i basically has to cut it out completely for Halo 4. If it’s too easy to do with single shot weapons, one can only imagine what a 3 round burst would cause.
I disagree I love the reach grenades…now that might just be because I have gotten pretty good at bouncing them off the ground/wall into people’s face but that’s besides the point.

That’s irrelevant. I’m saying that it would be nice if nades in Halo 4 unlike Reach wouldn’t get everything within a mile one shot and kill everything within a kilometer, also I would like it if nade launching from Halo 2 would come back.

This is kinda off topic, but I hope when dropped grenades in campaign are detonated, they don’t send the grenades flying all over the place. In H3, I had a bunch of dead AI with a huge number of dropped grenades (up to 38). I try to detonate them and only a few actually detonate. The rare times where I got them all to detonate, they were sent flying.
Compared to CE and H2, where dropped grenade detonations could start massive chain reactions.
