Grenades blast radius need a decrease

Is it just me or are the grenades blast radius jus too large? I’ve been far away from them and they still hit me. It’s rather ridiculous.

Maybe a slightly longer fuse time but … am I the only one who remembers the days of instant kill grenades? Nukes that come in 4 frags and 4 plasmas. The days where the blast radius could make you jump higher. No? Just me, aw sad.

Have to agree with you they are OP

I miss nade jumping. Made hidden stuff way more difficult to find because the precise nature of the nade jump.

Honestly it’s pretty easy to avoid grenades these days. All you have to do is thrust out of the way. I don’t really think a change is necessary, but I’d be more likely to agree with an increase than a decrease. As far as grenades go you should have played CE.

it’s blast radius _UP_ward needs improvement. I find it almost impossible to frag bunnyhopping S4’s these days.

The reason it’s op is because thrust is an op tool, sprint is op, and with those you can avoid almost anything.
Also, who else would use thruster pack in Halo 4 and tease the mongooses (mongeese? mongeeses?) and warthogs that would try to splatter you. Good times.

(Bold) oh I remember those days well! I miss those types of grenades.

Well, it might be but it needs to be because thrust and sprint are in Halo 5. If the radius wasn’t big, grenades would be completely useless. I actually think the sticky grenades need to have a little bit of magnetism to them as in if you throw it near someone if it’s within a certain radius it should get “magnetized” per say and stick to them (this radius would be very close otherwise it would be OP) because as of right now unless you stick the opponent those grenades are all but useless I find in Halo 5

There is definitely truth in the statement of thrust and sprint are OP.

Sums it up. Halo CE a bomb goes off and it’s like the whole world around you blew up.

Halo 5 is fairly tame, IMO. Especially with thrust.

The blast radius has to be big because of all the mobile abilities. It’s a bad side effect, but it would make grenades not very useful if it were greatly reduced.

I have played some doubles games on Molten, where the enemy team has a player that gets their most kills with the plasma nades. On certain maps, it is definitely a problem. Players will wait for the grenade spawns and just spam them all when they see you. There is skill involved to a degree, but it seems like a cheap way to almost guarantee a kill.

The grenade radios is fine as it is. If anything it should be increase from 100% to 110%. The grenades aren’t the problem its the maps. If every map was as complex and big as Plaza then you wouldn’t be complaining.

I would. You still get hit even if you’re around the corner when a nade goes off, bottom middle of Plaza isn’t complex at all and you get hit with nades there, and they’re still a problem on even bigger maps like in BTB or WZ.

Getting hit around the corner comes down to lag. Which is always gonna be there. But I do know how you feel when it happens which is utter BS in everyway.

I was gonna add this to my previous post, but you responded already.

I get what you’re saying about Plaza, but the map would have to be really segmented and convoluted with only one way into an area for the large nade radius to not really be effective. That’s not really the case with Plaza or any map that I know of in H5 besides maybe the Minotaur map in Action Sack.

  • You can easily Dodge one or two grenades but my issue is that often combat will slow down while you wait out the grenade spam, especially on cramped maps. Often - players will just spam grenades in lieu of fighting. - A player can have up to 6 grenades

for pvp gametypes I cannot comment - I should try some proper pvp gametypes though its 1 thing I havent done much at all in H5. Would help me get a grip on more of the game as well as build up commendations!

But i wish it didnt take 2+ grenades to kill a jackal in heroic firefight… lol Those things are easily the most OP thing in the game lol

Non-stop spam first. Gun fight optional
