Imagine driving along and your warthog blows up because someone threw a rock at it. lol
I’ve done this to someone twice; one with a direct hit, one with a grenade deflected by a rocket explosion. They look small, but clearly they pack a good little punch at the right time.

In all seriousness I have to agree, the blast radius of the things is ridiculous…and not for nothing canonically spartans shouldn’t even take damage from a grenade hitting them before detonation as certain bullets at point blank range wont even dent the armor (I read it in Halo Last Light)
