Grenades are not OP, and here's why

I can’t believe some people around here actually think the grenades in Halo 5 are OP.

The blast radius is just right, not too large but not too small. One grenade explosion that occurred right under your feet will lower your shields, but not kill you. Underpower it and nobody will use them anymore since they will be practically useless. They are just right as they are, and if you don’t agree with me, then go ahead and play around with Halo CE’s grenades.

Although they aren’t the mini nukes that plagued Halo: Reach, I always seem to die from Halo 5’s nades too often, and from ridiculous distances.

I’m not complaining though, just making an observation.

I don’t if it’s latency or what, but I’m getting really really sick of watching my grenades blow up right under peoples feet and not even break their shield. I have been killed out right by a single frag multiple times. If anyone wants proof I will play Halo for 40 minutes and come back to you with about a dozen clips as examples. Sick of it.

I know how you feel man, I swear I die from one grenade all the time.

Sounds like lag

If anything, the issue with grenades in Halo 5 is not how powerful they are, but how many they are. Nade spam is a serious problem. I have a clip of me on the Plaza sniper spawn, with about 14 grenades thrown my way in 10 seconds. Not fun. But it did make for a very funny clip.

I wish that they all had Halo 3’s grenade mechanics. The blast radius was perfect, the trajectory was perfect, just amazing.

I think that the damage they do is good, because it IS high damage. But they definitely need to have their range reduced; it’s bigger now because of thrust, but even with thrust they pack a punch, and I see too many people spamming nades rather than attempting to fight.

The highest you can hold is 6 (2 of each). In halo 2 and 3 you could hold 8.
