Not a secret dude. Skill based matchmaking is in Halo infinite even social game modes
I have zero issue with rockets or grenadeās. A unsc grenade generally doesnāt kill unless shields are like 3/4 goneā¦
Iāve NEVER seen someone survive a rocket inside the blast radius. If they do you donāt shoot another rocket you switch weapons and finish them off. Do you even Halo?
Iāve Haloād for about 20 years now, bud. Iāve seen several other people say the same things. Unless you have over 200 matches played in Infinite, you havenāt seen the nonsense Iāve seen. Infinite is broken. Just search āhit registrationā in the forums. Itās bad.
Been saying this since the flights.
Grenade spam is the worst, theyāre bouncy balls, they bounce too severely and bounce too far.
Iāve been one-shot from full shields with a single grenade, Iāve had my shields pop from a grenade in another room, Iāve thrown grenades into a room full of enemies, but have it bounce out the room and explode in another room.
Their inconsistency is very, very annoying.
Well, Iāve never seen 343 say there is MMR in social so I donāt feel comfortable saying it, even if it seems obvious. But I have noticed my team is usually SIGNIFICANTLY worse than me. While the enemy team is Better than everyone on my team EXCEPT me. resulting in being crushed. Drives me crazy.
Flapjack facts this is. Every social match Iāve played our team either absolutely dominates, or gets absolutely wrecked.
Iām yet to have a match that feels like weāre all equalish footing, even in ranked
Server lad is a major problem with this game Iāve noticed. Iām just glad the grenades donāt have hit markers so that they donāt act like treat sensorsā¦oh wait they do! š¤¦
in casual play i can understand the markers. I dont believe theyre in ranked though :)!
Ah good to know. Donāt play much Ranked. Well itās a start in the right direction lol
I think casual radar should be the standard 25m none sonar ping radar though. The 18m radar is practically useless
Agreed definitely. The radar is not wort looking at in BTB big maps
Hard agree, grenades blast radius feels very large and I feel like I take damage when Iām nowhere near a grenade, they feel much more powerful than in previous Halo games and I think at the very least the radius needs to be toned down.
They should give us ONLY ONE GRENADE and allow us pick which one.
Having two grenades reduce and interrupt the gun-play a lot.
Imagine how that will be E-SPORT even GOD That will be HORRENDOUS
Team vs team battle starting with 8 nades sometimes 10 if one of them pick the extra ones on the way. Then they will finish off with mele-hits. Seriously this game have less gunplay than overwatch/paladins
I just think itās hilarious that people keep referring to Infiniteās grenades as being OP or having too high a radius. Obviously slept on CE or Reach (pre nerf). I think the real reasons they seem to be such an issue (though I donāt really find them to be anything out of step with Halo as a franchise) is the lack of friendly fire and the completely inconsistent hit registry.
From weapon damage to melee damage to grenades I have noticed a lot of inconsistencies in the game thus far. Iāve even gotten medals for damage types I wasnāt capable of causing at the time. Grenade balance would be something to be addressed after they smooth out their coding.
The friendly fire issue is obvious, there is no drawback to grenade spam when the only penalty is running out of grenades, and they spawn regularly.
I agree. Think that there are a couple of options here. First and foremost, team damage should be turned on. This helps discourage this kind of thing. I also think that one of two things need to happen; right now grenades feel very strong. Too strong. Thatās not a bad thing necessarily, but if they are going to stay this strong we should only spawn with 1. They feel like the strongest grenades in the series short of maybe CE, and in CE grenades are not fun. Not really something to idolize. The other option is to tone down the blast radius a little bit. I think that this is probably the better of the two options.
I also think that they should better communicate that a grenade is close to you, and put a slightly longer timer on them. It feels like they explode almost instantly when they are thrown, giving you no time to move away. That sucks. They also make little to no noise and I feel like I can only hear them if they bounce right in front of me. If they come from behind then I am out of luck on that.
