As many of you already know in Halo 4 you will no longer be able to replenish grenades off of an opponents body without the use of the resupply armour mod. There are still nades on the map in the form of ordinance drops but no more corpse robbing.
So anyways this is my idea. I think they should revert the system back so you CAN pick up nades off dead bodies but what resupply does is you can get nades off a dead body even if they DON’T have nades, so it would still be a very useful perk.
Not being able to get nades is going to suck, you seriously should not need a PERK to pick up nades.

having more grenades would be a better armour-mod = grenadier
and resupply would become that you recieve more ammo of dead enemies or pick-up weapons have more starting ammo

I would just remove it altogether and stop messing around with core elements of the game.

Haha, you and me both. I am trying to go for a compromise though.
I don’t end up picking grenades up from dead enemies in Reach either though
Usually I’ve either killed them from too far away to risk running to their body or in close quarters maps where most players tend to use up all their grenades before they die anyway
Seems to me like its a pretty useless perk compared to the others you can choose

I’d disagree. I’ve always thought they were a bit “overused” in Halo 3 as well. People have pointed out the guns-grenades-melee triangle to me before, but still, grenades shouldn’t be as integral to combat as the guns, and used in every firefight.

I think that as long as there is enough on map it’ll be fine

I disagree. Grenades are one of the things that defined Halo.

Totally agree, but still, it’s a first-person SHOOTER. Grenades should be used only in special occasions when they’re absolutely needed. Hurled into a group of 2 or 3 people right before you mow them down, bounced around a corner when you see someone on the tracker waiting for you, used to upturn Warthogs and Ghosts or to stick Banshees, etc.
Whenever I play the game, be it Reach or H3, every firefight seems to beging with one/both combatants throwing a grenade or two, then running in to take advantage of whatever damage it dealt.
I suppose it boils down to opinion, but I just think gameplay where people learn to conserve grenades until they’re necessary would be much more fun. But as always, it’ll all come down to actually playing the game and finding out.
There shouldn’t be a compromise. Halo combat is built on 3 things- weapons, melee, and grenades. Nerf one of those foundations and people are going to get upset.
343 has gone this far. Why not just make it a perk to pick up dropped ammo? Or maybe offer a separate perk to pick up a weapon off the ground? How 'bout a change weapons perk? Assassination perk anyone?
No? That would be crazy, right?
So is this. I’m all for the upgrades, but don’t take something away that has been in five Halo games for the sake of leveling up. If you kill a guy, you should get his goodies (and the right to -Yoink!-).
