A throwable weapon that is only dangerous while moving.
Missing a stick with a Plasma Grenade can still kill enemies from the explosion. Missing with a Throwing Knife will cause no damage.
Throwing Knives would be targeted at gametypes like SWAT and Snipers where grenades are out of place or stealthyness is key to success.

SWAT doesn’t have grenades period, I think Snipers has one, due to there being enemy shields.

Good idea. A grenade that takes more skill. This would be good for hayabusa class Spartans and their katanas.

What’s the difference in damage from being punched by a Spartan to being hit by a knife thrown by a Spartan?

Punches have more force than a thrown object, and a blund object usually does more to a harder target does than a sharp one does.
I’m cool with the Pro-Shot/Grenade Pistol taking up the explosive-crossbow weapon type, but throwing knife, na.
I would like frags to be as they are and sticky-type to have a smaller blast zone while maintaining its damage.

I do hope the GL remains. It’s takes up the mine/bank-shot explosive-type very well.

Yes. Punches have more force. How many times have you seen people breaking things other than windows with baseballs?

I’ve felt both and ill take the punch any day. Either way the point of this was to show that a thrown object can have just as much, if not more, force behind it than a punch…especially when all that energy is concentrated on the tiny tip of a knife. Would you disagree?

What’s to say that the Throwing Knife isn’t made out of the same stuff as the Energy Sword?
can I have a weapon that fires miniature ESs then? Let’s be honest, why use just one knife when a machine gun using them for ammo would be better for a war.

Chief can only carry so many full sized weapons. He could tuck a knife or two away anywhere.
As for why someone would use a knife over a gun: stealth.
