Grenade Switcher Needs a Toggle

So something I’ve noticed is that there’s no way to avoid the mini menu for switching grenades. I think there should be an option to make grenades cycle through a default order, so that last minute death sticks are still possible even if you’re set to frags or something else just before you die.

I.e. We need a simpler, twitchier option for switching grenades.

Another consideration might be adding forward-cycle/back-cycle options, as exists in MCC. I.e. Right on D-pad = cycle forward through grenades, back on D-pad = cycle backward through grenades.

Absolutely agree. It feels rather clunky switching grenades, especially in the heat of battle. Just one button press is all that’s needed, no need for the little menu, especially since you can only carry 2 types of grenades in multiplayer.

Toggle is the way to go. I’d add in press+ hold to pickup grenades, and swap the current one selected with what’s on the battlefield

To avoid accidental grenade pickups you mean?

Yes. So imagine you have frags in slot1, Plasma in slot2 and there are spike grenades on the ground. If you walk back and forth over the spikes while tapping grenade select button you just toggle between frags/plasma. If you have frags currently selected and press+hold grenade select button you would drop frags and pickup spikes.

I see. That’s interesting. So you want the grenade toggle button to also serve as the grenade pickup button, instead of using the general “interact” button (used for picking up weapons, jumping in vehicles, etc.) that is currently used.

I’m loving pretty much everything about halo infinite, but how change grenades is the one thing I hate. It was perfect in the first flight, no idea why they thought this change was needed.

Grenade switching has to change

Please make it like the old games where I just press one button and it switches between plasma and frag. It really annoys me that we have to use some interface to select which grenade we want it’s super frustrating cause I like to just press the button once to switch between the two grenades. It’s unnecessary to have a mini menu to chose between which TWO grenades I have. Plus all the button combinations for each type of grenade seems unnecessary. Make it like Halo 3 again pls.

Turns out it’s a bug or something. Only applies to training mode.

It works like normal in regular pvp.

Searched for this after losing a CTF when I tried to toggle to dynamo and place one on my team’s flag. Threw a frag, overshot, and hit nothing instead. Seems like BTB has the old toggle and it works great especially when you can only hold 2 types.
