I know the reason they removed 2 grenades on spawn in WZA was because of the grenade spam, but it isn’t just in WZA. It seems grenade spams are the go-to for a person with no skill and a good arm.
Can’t kill an enemy regularly, even if he is using a sniper in a close quarters environment? Grenade spam.
A single guy AR camping the center cap on Deadlock in a Stronghold game? Grenade spam.
Someone might be in the Sniper Nest on any map with one? Grenade spam.
Onto my next point- the effective range of the shotgun. Anyone ever shoot someone point blank in the face, torso, or anywhere else and they don’t die, yet you shoot someone from AR range and they crumple over instantly?
Sword guy guy rushed me earlier, right before he lunged I shot him in the torso at point blank (melee) range and his shields only dropped to about HALF. This is just an example.
What is everyone’s take on this? Anyone had a similar experiences? Will these questions ever end? Find out next time on <insert generic show here>!
I don’t know about the grenade spam thing because the physics for grenades are garbage, at least for the frags. But I’ve run into the shotgun problem before and I can entirely agree that the H5 shotgun is a load of bull.
Okay - For the shotgun range thing is that the shotgun isn’t a slug round gun. It is a gauge shotgun, so all of the pellets need to leave the shell for it to be effective. The average effective range of a shotgun in real life is 8M, because that’s when the the pellets have left the shell.
Just shoot the nades before they get you.

I highly doubt the shotgun in Halo 5 had that extra formula added in. Even if you claim “realism” I shall direct you to the Promethean weapons and Spartan Abilities. Or the space falls.

Must just be me, because everyone spams them in my games like crazy. It’s like the domino effect, once one person throws one everyone else throws them.
I just throw grenades around walls of a guy has low health. Also, if someone is camping with a power weapon, it’s very effective to throw a grenade and start shooting them because it kills them extremely fast.
I just dislike the Halo 5 shotgun overall, and dislike the scattershot even more. It was great in Halo 4. I haven’t had a problem with grenade spam though, people seem to be using them for their purpose. i.e. if someone is around a corner or on a ledge and you want to have an extra edge by lowering their shields, grenades are a good use for that.
My problem with the nades is the fact that whenever anyone lobs them at me they always seem to nestle firmly between my balls and arsecheeks every time. as soon as they reach the proximity of my nut sack…BOOOOM. It’s like the detonation timer is inconsistent and they heat seek to my nether regions every time.
Whereas I chuck a nade it end ups rolling past the opponent for a few furlongs and fizzles out like a duff firework.
Rage material I swear.
To me ‘angry rant’ is short for ‘I just got owned and I’m mad because I should be a champion, my mom says so, this game is cheating, I want Halo 3 back to relive my glory days, whaaaaaaaa!’
Sorry, that’s all I see when I see ranting posts. Your argument about grenades just screams sour grapes to me. I see nothing wrong with how they are being used against you.

Promethian Weapons: Heat Seeking
Spartan Abilities: Use of in-built mini jets
Space falls: Advanced armour

Not to necro, but the level of armor doesn’t matter. Science says it would crush you either way. Ground Pound would likely have similar results.

I do well most of the time, so your argument is invalid.
You can thank grenade hit markers for that.
