Grenade selection?

Not sure if im confusing with another game, but didn’t you used to be able set grenade type selection as default in other halo titles?

I prefer to use stickies over frags, I have over 2k in infinite.

Is this a preference anyone else would like to see implemented?

Ive always used it as strategy, if i know im losing the 1 v 1 im landing that stick

I don’t think you could ever set this, but, in past games, you could see all collected choices on the HUD. Infinite only shows the current one active. Hopefully, this will be changed.

I don’t think you can buy your way into suggestions…

No, it was usually by game mode.

Sticky grenade kills? That would be a lot!

He probably means sticky kills. There were a couple maps in Halo 2 and a map in Halo 3 where stickys were the maps default starting grenade which is what you might be thinking of

That was Halo 4. You could choose Frags, Plasma, or Promethean grenades, as part of your loadout. I also always used Plasma grenades, because I love landing sticks.

Halo 3 also had a couple maps that if it was a Covenant themed map, you started with Plasma grenades.

Yeah you’re right it was halo 4. I like having the option…doesn’t give any advantage it’s just personal preference.

Sorry, over 2100 stickies in infinite

yeah I think this is it!

I think you were able to edit that in the game settings.

This was in Halo 4. No other Halo game let you select your grenade in matchmaking, either offering a list of choices which don’t really offer differing grenade types on spawn.

And no, I don’t want to see grenade selection ever again. If starting with Plasma was already bad enough for Halo 4’s gameplay cycle, Infinite has the Dynamo grenade which exists only to make people not have fun.

halo reach and 3 u can select grenade type. Halo 2 as well what u guys talking about?

Talking about matchmaking here, where you matchmake with other players. Unless the mode has a predetermined rule set, you more or less have no choice in choosing your starting nade.

Have they updated it, so you can just “scroll through” your available grenades (and equipment) in campaign? Having to remember the convoluted “sub menu” approach is so annoying…
