I think the discussion about grenades comes around again to the familiar topic of inconsistency. When a grenade goes off, and you are right there, expect to die, but there are so many times the grenade is too far away, and I die, and I see a teammate who is in the radius and doesn’t die. KOTH is a good example of inconsistency because everyone is lobbing grenades and when you can see the other team on the Hill, shields glowing and not dying from consecutive grenade hits right away it is obvious something is wrong. The sheer amount of times I throw a grenade, and it disappears into subspace, gone, and it happens too often. I still think fewer grenades on the map or a cool down, and bring back friendly fire.
For starters Halo is far from being real in every type of way. I don’t want Grenades going back to Halo CE but somewhere in the middle between Halo 5 and Halo 2 where it’s useful and not just another thing that’s useless in the sandbox. Which in alot of reasons why most people that play other shooters don’t play Halo because all the useless things in the game.
Nades have been useful in every game it’s just you have to be smart with how you use and aim them. In Infinite you don’t really since you can pick up 2 more after you throw 2 you don’t have to be smart that’s really my main problem. It leads to inconsistent gameplay and a loss of control.
Mmm your thoughts are cool but when you compare it to other shooters not so much. I say this only because not everything in Halo is good. When I play I expect my melee attacks to always connect or not being shot around corners or players always dying right away if they have no shield. But sadly this isn’t the case.
Like I remember just the other day I threw a grenade where 2 enemies were at with no shields and one of them dies that’s the farthest away from the grenade while the other one lived. Then the same thing happened to me and we both die instead. Sorry but that’s not very consistent at all.
