I’m just spit balling here so don’t freak out guys. But how would you feel if it was a mode, ill start there-that you had to “arm” a grenade. Meaning like in apex. How would you think that would effect the game. Would it stop grenade spam. Not saying the way we throw grenades now is bad. As a og thru halo 5 player, would that go to far. I hope we can do things like that in custom games.
Like what would that do to the halo game play if I had to take the grenade out like in apex. Good bad dumb idea
Whats per nading. Its probably something I know what don’t call it that. I feel sometimes halo just is nades everywhere with thinking since it isn’t a downside to using them. So people just thrown them everywhere. I’m just curious what that would do to the game play

One mans clunky is another mans “you gotta think before you use it” I see the same with the drop shield. Everybody wanna make it faster so its a get out of jail free card. But why can’t people adjust and use it smarter.
I like how essential grenades are to your kit, so not a huge fan of nerfing them. They seemed a lot weaker in Halo 5 so I’m glad to see them back at full strength.
I wouldn’t mind a delay being an option for people to play with, the more custom potential the better. However, in matchmaking I like how they are.

unless they massively buff grenades, you’ll always think “this thing is not worth taking out” because grenades in Halo are purposefully weak. Grenades in Apex are strong, especially because cover is such an oft-used tool and trapping people in buildings is a common occurrence. If grenades could be thrown while also laying down covering fire, they’d be busted. Meanwhile in Halo most people are constantly moving and throwing a grenade is just one of the ways you affect your enemy in the middle of combat. The grenades aren’t weapons in-and-of themselves. If they were, they’d be incredibly underpowered. They’re tools, for changing the way your enemy has to engage with you. Sticky and spike grenades blur this line a bit, but their instant-use function makes them a great answer to an enemy moving predictably, something that wouldn’t work if you had to take them out first.

You answer this perfectly. Makes sense now when I think of it like that
