Grenade Launcher.. please don't die </3

This is just a thread concerning the lack of grenade launcher in Halo 4… Some say the Sticky Detonator is a replacement… but no… just no

Give it a vote if you want it in Halo 4

Hey just give it a vote!

P.S IMO It’s the best thing that came out of the Halo Reach sandbox

I personally would rather have the sticky pistol. Sorry :3

But sticky doesn’t bouncy :frowning:

With the amount of people mashing thé Left Trigger, who really needs the nade-lawnchair?

o.O

The GL still has its uses!

Although i loved the grenade launcher and it was my favorite weapon I think the detonator will be harder to master and i welcome that. I still wish they were both in the game though.

I hate how 343i are removing one of the best things about Halo: Reach. The sticky-detonator better be a good replacement, only then I would tolerate the absence of the grenade launcher.

I only used it in big team battle for emping and in sword base for cqc.

Edit: i don’t care if it is or isn’t in H4.

I never liked the grenade launcher (particularly compared to weapons like the Concussion Rifle, Plasma Launcher, Needler Rifle, Spiker, and Carbine) so I’m not sad to see it go. Nothing about it ever really caught my eye or appealed to any part of me - course preferring precision weapons that might just be me.

Sticky detonator already sounds like an awesome weapon, indeed one that will come to be as feared as the infamous plasma grenade.

I doubt it is in the game but it can be as in the new bulletin Frankie said,

> I love this thing. I love the fact that I can use it strategically or tactically, but it’s definitely a weapon that requires a lot of skill and planning. In reality that’s what it has in common with the Grenade Launcher, but it’s not a replacement. I think the same kind of players will use it though – that is to say folks who like to spend time mastering its nuance. The audio indicator means it’s not a foolproof trap you can set people up with, but when it works, it’s incredibly satisfying. VERY tough to stick people with directly, but fun when it happens.

This can be interpreted in two ways

[/li]- He says that to help further his point of the Sticky detonator being completely different.

 • He’s hinting at a possible inclusion somewhere in the game.

I think it is the former but, there is hope.

Who’s to say they both won’t be? The GL is likely not going to be a UNSC weapon but perhaps 343 will re-skin it and make it a promethean or covie weapon.

Edit: I really wish Bungie would’ve made the Sticky Detonator for Reach. It would be so effectve for combatting armour lockers.

That could be cool, like a Forerunner EMP grenade launcher that melts people if you get the instant kill

I will miss that beautiful gun for being such an unpopular weapon, but godly in the right hands. My favorite weapon in the entire game for sure.

I’m not too keen on the sticky detonator replacing it though. Frankly, it looks like it takes less skill to use than the GL.

It was nice to use but underpowered in the campaign. Against a charging Elite, even on the lowest difficulties, it won’t help much since they’re so damn fast.

I actually thought the grenade launcher was not powerful enough but i did like its unique bouncing off walls
