It was a pretty fun weapon.
Is there any chance of it coming back( HALO 4 ) in the near future?
I mean, dont need to replace the sticky detonator, just make them both available in the game.
I like the nade launcher as well, it gave me another option to the PP and the EMP was AoA. A very fun gun, would be great to have with the sticky det.
im pretty sure the sticky det replaced it, but yea it was pretty cool. it was even in mlg gametypes.
And to be honest I would like to see Ninja use that weapon again. For a weapon that wasn’t used to kill he would kill players with it and it was very nasty.

The stick det is fun too,i love it lol.
But the frag grenade thing is nice.

Prefer it to the sticky det by a large margin. The ability to bounce it around corners and detonate manually in mid-air made it a much more versatile and tactical weapon than the sticky det.
I also miss it and like it better than the Sticky Det
It was far more useful than the Sticky Detonator, and about as much fun. Thing is, you’re having fun more consistently with the Grenade Launcher.
I like the Sticky Detonator, but the Grenade Launcher is more fun and useful, not to mention more practical.

It was my favorite gun in Reach by far. I used to get 1-shot kills with it like it was a rocket launcher sometimes. And getting kills on jetpackers mid-air was sooooo rewarding. I shed a tear of sadness when I saw it was being replaced. The sticky det doesn’t even come close.
The pro-pipe was one of the few things that I thought Halo 4 should take from Reach.
The Nade launcher was a fun gun to use but I kinda want the ODST silenced SMG with scope back more, it was such a fun weapon to use.
While the Pro Pipe was amazing in Reach, it will probably never come back. The Sticky Detonator replaced and 343i believes that it was the right call. I don’t agree with it, but it is what it is.
I loved being able to bounce it around corners and get sick kills/doubles with it. It was the most skillful weapon that has been introduced into Halo in a very long time.

I miss it too. The sticky det is fun, but not quite as satisfying as the grenade launcher was.

Grenade launcher instantly became an all time favorite for me. It was versatile. It was a one-shot kill weapon that actually took skill to use. It was a great foil to Reach’s vehicle mix. Sadly, the H4 vehicles are too few and too weak to endure against the GL.
I would welcome it back with open arms. It is far, far superior to the sticky detonator. IMHO This is one example where 343 tried too hard to bring a new weapon into the mix. The result is a poor substitute for one/third the functionality of the GL.
I don’t even bother picking up the sticky detonator. Love GL, though.
