I’m trying to get the skulls on CEA, but am having trouble with grenade jumps. The one on Assault on the Control room is giving me the most frustration. (No, haven’t gotten bandana yet, too scared for my sanity to try to get it) Any tips? Thanks.
The only advice I can give is to make sure that you don’t have any button delay. Also, the game doesn’t let you jump when moving forward off a ledge sometimes, so keep that in mind.
For the Bandanna Skull, play to the part when you get the Rocket Launcher, grab a oversheild, go back to the security room run backwards jump and shoot the rocket at the ground and you should land on the platform with the skull
Tips:
Fog was giving me some trouble, but when I watched the video and try it at the same time I got it first try.
For Assault on the Control Room I just drove the Warthog in parked it on the incline with the back facing down. Jumped on the front of the warthog and jumped from there to the pillar and jumped from there to where the skull is!
Protip: Use frag grenades. Plasmas are easier to position, but are more likely to kill you.
I got the Bandanna skull first try, and I had only grenade jumped once before. n00b’s luck.
The bandana skull has been driving towards insanity, I just can’t get it. I have tried everything! Rocket jumping wasted 2 hours and it had the best results, I was right next to the ledge (I forgot to crouch, how I could forget that for 2 hours? I have no idea.) warthog rocket jumping= FAIL (I got the angle wrong, and then checkpoint appeared when I was falling, how I have no idea.) grenade jumping and warthog grenade jumping= Let’s not go there. I have a buddy so suggestions would be welcome.
Bandanna is by far the hardest to get. It took me over an hour to get, but after that, Black Eye and Fog were easy pickings. I definitely recommend frags over anything else for all three. Just pay attention to your timing, and always crouch when you get near the ledge.
For “bandanna” the easiest way to do it is with two players. One player crouch jumps onto the window ledge that (in terms of map location) is directly beneath where the bandanna skull is. Move as far to the right as you can without falling. Shoot 2nd player. 2nd player will spawn above you right next to bandanna skull. Piece of cake!!! I tried that grenage jump probably 200 times and couldn’t get it, got it this way first try.
