Grenade Idea Instant Frag

This is a grenade idea for the UNSC. The Instant Frag. It blows up on contact. It could adopt the red line trail from ODST’s Frag.

Regular grenades are still good for skillfully placing grenades with ricochet(or is it just called bouncing?) physics.

Thoughts??

Genius. Pure genius my friend… So a sticky grenade with no time of detonation?

Your time to get out of the way is when its coming at you. Wasn’t the Spike Grenade just a more brutal looking sticky? Only unique thing about it was when all its spikes would shoot the one guy standing next to it.

Like a rocket? I guess it would be another way to help the less fortunate get easier kills.

I liked the skill and tactics of the spike grenade where you could strategically place the grenade on walls.

Actually, I got the idea from another game, though I cant remember what the name of it was, it looked pretty cool. It had destructible environments. If anyone can tell me what that game was I’d appreciate it.

Placing it on walls and ceiling, I forgot all about that. Maybe bring the Spike Grenade back as well? Also the Flame Grenade should come back.

Fire grenades as awesome as they were eat up too much frame rate or something and they were ridiculous OP (part of their charm.)

The problem with auto frags is they’ll be used just like rockets: aim for the feet. They’ll be ridiculous OP. every encounter will start with a grenade throw.

Make them more on the weak side?

It’s a good idea as long as the explosion radius is small and the power isn’tt super great. Otherwise explosion on impact would be kind of overpowered when you have no chance to dodge it. But when tweaked right the idea is certainly nice.

What if they are only strong enough to take shields half or 3 quarters of the way down unless hit in the head?

Three quarters sounds like a good power at point blank range. That way they would be effective when used right but not too powerful.
