I always wanted to make an awesome Cosplay Halo outfit, but I can’t afford the materials and tools. Sooo, thanks to the recently released Forge map and green screen objects, I can at least pretend I have a real suit! I’d make for a relatively convincing Spartan in real life due to being 6ft 4in. I find it quite annoying when 5ft 6in fat kids show-up at a gaming event in a Spartan suit, and their taller friend is an ODST. Am I right?

I think you need to adjust the head size on your banner pick. It unfortunately looks like chibi proportions there.

I agree my head looks a bit too big in the banner pic,
but I scaled it to fit comfortably within the helmet (Operator helmet), same as the second pic.

Nice work on the whole effect of becoming a spartan, Alas though even with modern technology advances we are no closer to being able to recreate the REAL DEAL of Halo armour. Would make mad as ideas for cosplaying that’s for sure…even better LARPing too haha

Taking my Gauss Hog for a spin:

I wish the green screen objects would receive shadows.
C’mon 343! Make them receive shadows with the self-shading
set to “off.” It’s not difficult! Also, the green creates a
wrap-around lighting effect that creates a green tint around
much of the subject. That makes correcting green on armor and
vehicles that are green-ish like the Warthogs a pain since
“Replace Color” and “Color Balance” works against themselves.
Awesome pictures! The one thing that irks me (not your fault, blame the lighting engine >_>) is the weird green glow on the Gauss/Spartan, but they’re still good!

My pictures are kept pretty simple; they’re just
3-4 layers.
I mostly use Replace color (Image>Adjustments),
Color balance (Image>Adjustments),
Hue/Saturation (Image>Adjustments),
Brightness/Contrast (Image>Adjustments),
color burn for shadows (side-bar tool),
polygon selection (side-bar tool),
Scale transform (ctrl+t and hold shift while dragging corner),
and the eraser (side-bar tool) set to a decent feathering.
I would use the Magic Wand selection tool, but it’s
been causing Photoshop to crash recently for some reason.
If you can learn how to use these tools, and when
to use them, you can get pretty good at photo editing.
I’m also a free-lance graphic designer, so I’m used to
doing this sort of thing. I do however need to get my TV
calibrated; my pictures don’t look as dark and defined on
some other displays at the moment. 
Oh, and I’d appreciate it if you guys would take the time
to quickly check my various file shares. I’d have more funny
pictures for Halo 4, but theater doesn’t support modes with AI.
