So you’ve ground your -Yoink- to the bone unlocking everything you can get out of Bronze and Silver and are grinding through Gold, but then they drop another update with some new REQ’s, so you go back to opening Silvers to unlock the Common, Uncommon and Rares in the most economical way possible, only to find out instead of the dozen-ish packs you thought you’d have to endure before getting back to the good stuff, you get to do them slow and steady, one-at-a-time, piece by -Yoinking!- piece.
Lame.

I unlocked a couple of silver packs today, and received two unlocks in each. I also bought several bronze packs and 7 of the 8 contained unlocks. Your mileage may vary.

Maybe because you only have 2 or 3 rares left then you have completed the silver packs…
Check your stats on Waypoint, you can see the REQs and sort them by rarity. Look at every category and see if common, uncommon, and rare REQs are completed.

I’ve opened plenty of packs and gotten 2. You must have them all

Yeah, that must be it. If some people are still getting 2, it must only drop to 1 and the RP bonus when you’ve just got a few left.

It wasn’t a major problem for me though, It didn’t really bother me.

Yeah, I keep track of it and know exactly where I stand. That’s why I knew when Hammer Storm dropped I’d need to go back to Silver’s to unlock the new Common, Uncommon, and Rare REQs it included.
I was looking forward to blowing through them like I did with Infinity’s Armory, but found out instead of unlocking 2 at a time, I only got 1 at a time.
So if this threshold really only applies to the players that have unlocked virtually everything, it only punishes those with the most time and effort in the game.
Way to take care of your most loyal fans 343…I miss the Old Bungie. (Not new Destiny Bungie.)

Yeah, I’m back to Gold now too, but it was frustrating.
It’s looking like it only affects those of us that have a high percentage of REQs unlocked, which seems like a slimy way for 343 to stab their best customers in the back.

There actually may be a bug that causes this in some rare cases. I didn’t have any problems (I got 2 in every silver pack) but it happened to my buddy in a couple of the packs he opened since the Hammer Storm update. 343 might want to look into this. I suspect it’s a pretty rare bug (no pun intended), but might happen in certain cases.

I’m sorry but you’re talking absolute nonsense. The only time you’ll get one unlock is when it’s your last one. I had already unlocked everything, then Hammer Storm arrived. I did my Silvers and got two at a time, and the last one gave me one unlock and 1500 points. So I moved on to Gold packs, I suggest that you do the same.

Maybe, I was finished with Silvers also, and then when the Hammer update hit, I had to go back and do silvers and the same thing happened.
Idk why, But I’m finished now and just moved on lol
I get 2 per pack, not sure why this is happening to you, but it’s the worse to open a Silver Pack ,and one of your permanent unlocks is a Warzone Custom Assault Rifle or something, you’ll never use, ever, and there is like 20 of each, such a bad idea, could have been made so much better
