Great memories of Halo Reach

Does anyone else remember the days of Halo Reach? where all of your friends on your friends-list would only be playing Halo Reach, getting invites to those amazing fun custom games. Anyone miss the great forging moments with the massive grid in forge world? I miss Halo Reach, I remember being one of the happiest people around to play Halo Reach for months long without playing any other game. I also loved playing Firefight with all of my friends, and unlocking those fun easy achievement and armor. I miss the campaign easter eggs where I could fly a pelican and the dance parties in the club. The custom games lobbies were my all time favourite game type considering I would pretty much only play that with my friends. I miss the falcon, the massive free space maps, and the ranking system, laughing with all of my friends while we had a great time. These are just some of the great memories I have with Halo Reach.

PS: Please don’t post any negative comments based on my opinion, I am only here to make you remember the great times of Halo Reach. Also please leave a comment.

I got Reach last December, along with my Xbox.
2 years too late for the fun you describe. And my friends are never on :frowning:
But, alas, I do have some good times on Reach

For me… It’s just a handful of inheritor friends on… Jump on that BTB. Dumb people on the other team just quit, yelling about ranks. Then our team outnumbers whoever stays in. Easy pickings.

Just go in for team snipers when I’m up for it. Even thou I get matched with dumb teammates like this guy

You can always keep playing it  But I know what you mean, when every one is playing it, it has a “home feeling”.

Ah, the days of reach. I enjoyed that game so much. Being with my friends finding custom games…playing some double team or multi-team. Brainlessly exploring my friend’s forge maps that he’d make…

I hate it, because I still love reach but when I go back to it…it just makes me feel sad, lonely and nostalgic. Even though there are 10k other people playing it lol.

It’s sad to see how good video games pass so quickly.

My days of Reach weren’t as memorable as Halo 3, unfortunately. Still had great times though.

I find all these nostalgic Halo: Reach threads pretty hilarious.

Hop on the Halo 4 forum, it’s nothing but nostalgic Halo 3 threads. Only I don’t laugh, I cry.

Good Old Days: back when Super Slayer and Arena had a decent population. Seriously, those are my favorite playlists and it’s a shame that the community gives them such little love.

Those days, those sweet sweet days I have fun with the mulitplayer. My favorite gamemode is Invasion racking up bunch of kills, power weapons, vechiles, and the objective as well. One of my favorite playlist on halo reach. Having a good time on the custom games was a big laugh and fun for me. the campaign and firefight that I was a point -Yoink!- on every match in firefight.

This game had the best custom games! Who wouldn’t want a huge map for forge?
The falcon was the best thing about BTB.
They made forge like 3’s but improved upon it and made it the best.

Agree.

I’m sick about the games only being out 2 years. I have buy Halo 4(and I love it), but yet I have the feeling I could have give Halo: Reach SOOOO much more use, even tho I did play it much, I could have play 2 more years until I had the feeling of; Okey, I want a new one.

Fortunately, some of my friend haven’t buy Halo 4 and have Reach, I say fortunately because they’re a great excuse to keep playing it, and so my girlfriend, she has Reach but not H4.

After this, I have decide that I will follow my own “path” of timing with games, I’ll keep playing Halo 4(imagine there was no new gen coming, including that will complicate the example) and if Halo 5 is release over two years, I wont but it, I’ll keep playing 4 until I have the feeling to move on to a new one, so I will buy it when is cheap and for the campaign. And if by the time I have the feeling for a new one Halo 6 comes out, then so be it.

And why? Because keeping the game releases makes you(enlist me) be tired of the formula, because trying the new when its yet too soon makes me be overloaded of it. And yet I don’t know if I’ll keep with the multiplayer as I do now, because if new fresh games come out with great multiplayers that feel different, it may replace my current main multiplayer games(Halo, Gears of War and Battlefield).

In any case, I think I’ll keep with Halo’s multiplayer until the reclaimer trilogy ends(perhaps Halo 5s multiplayer will be missing as I say above, but I’ll be on Halos 4s then). And then I hope Microsoft let Halo go, so it does not happen like to so many good TV shows(that end up with horrible new plots/ending just for the sake of continuing them). In any case, for my Halo will be done after this trilogy and having a great memory of it.

(A last thing: When I learned english, if I remember correctly, you always use “I” of I’m on majuscule. M I right? Because the “i” on minuscule looks so horrible to my eyes. Thank you!).
