Well done, seriously, 343i. The showcase you just revealed is a big improvement all across the board! I liked the demo that caught flak last year. I honestly did. This wowed me and so many others. Lighting, weathering, effects, texture detail, depth of colors, just so much improved. Your lighting in Halo 4 and 5 was wonky and didn’t look natural. It sported this paleness to it that is seemingly gone.
Now its not photo realistic. It doesn’t need to be, but it would be a bonus. The probable year delay was the best choice you could have made.
After watching the gameplay footage more times, I am hesitant on the Pulsar ability. I think that is what it is called. Seeing enemies through walls is still removing the challenge of locating a player to give chase. Gone is the failure of the player to have effectively taken that other one down. Its not always that way every scenario however. Flag sprinting also looks like a no-no. At least disable sprint.
The rest of it, including Sprint, looks and sounds amazing! Ill have to get used to the weapon sounds not having an iconic staccato or rhythmn like Bungies’ sounds. They sound too realistic.

Keep in mind it’s a map pick up… and likely to be single use.
And that’s the beauty of making things like this pick ups. You can easily buff or nerf them to balance the game… and remove them completely if required.

I quite like CTF when it’s high scoring. Keeping the flag moving is probably going to fit their aim of “beautiful sci-fi chaos”
I don’t really see a problem with pulsar. It’s going to be something on the map to be contested over.
Being able to get a quick look at where players are in that exact moment doesn’t seem like anymore of an advantage compared to OS or Camo. If something doesn’t work on a map it can also be easily replaced with something else if not removed completely.
Considering how good everything looks, I think they can make sprint work if they excel in other areas. Obviously I’d like it removed completely, but if they can achieve a happy medium that basically makes sprinting slighty quicker than BMS with no delay between firing I think it would be fine.
