I am a HUGE Halo fan and I’m a little bit concerned about this armor ability. As of now Promethean vision looks a bit off balance and over powered. I just played Blacklight: Retribution and every player in the game gets a visor that enables them to see through walls. I thought at first that was going to be a horrible addition to the game BUT they actually did it pretty well. It took a second or so to activate it and deactivate it and you couldn’t shoot while using it and on top of that when you used it, it would drain the meter all the way down even if you cut it off half way. Also (this next sentence is a stand alone idea btw and has nothing to do with Blacklight) players who use PV will be visible on the radar while the mode is activated. I’m not talking about giving every player PV but for those who are using this ability using it would more so put the user in danger of using this armor ability and also I believe will help balance it out a bit and make it so you need to be a bit more careful and strategic when you use PV.
Tell me what you think, will this be better for Halo 4 balancing?
> I have no idea if this will be better for balancing as I have not played the final copy of Halo 4.
You don’t need to play the final version (which isn’t even made yet) to vote on ideas on balancing. This is based on what 343 has shown us from gameplay, not the final copy.
Another way to balance it would be to use it, you’d have to hold it. That way, you couldn’t go into battle straight away and you’d have to remember the information.
I think PV is fine as it is. All you need to equip is the Support Upgrade “Sensor” (which allows you to see people on your radar even with radar even if they were standing still. The way I see it is I can use that and use another AA.
Someone on gamefaqs said “I think the user of PV should be able to be seen by everyone else through walls too” I think this could work but I like my original idea better.

PV does have drawbacks, believe it or not. And honestly, from what I’ve seen, it looks pretty useless. It’s a glorified uni-directional radar.
> Simply limit PV’s range to what the radar has, or maybe just a big larger, and it will be fine. That’s my opinion.
Or turn off the radar when it’s active. Personally, I’ve never had a problem with the range since most of the information outside the 25 meter range is practically useless (I think).

That woudn’t be a great idea… How would that work out context-wise anyways?
PV has to charge up for a bit.
Can’t shoot while in PV.
Using PV at all burns the whole meter.
If PV turns out to be a counter for Camo, then Camo users shouldn’t be able to shoot while using it… Well, actually, they shouldn’t anyway given how it’s almost impossible to counter with 1sk weapons without luck. It should just function like the TF2 Spy’s cloak.
