Would like to start this thread off by tipping my hat to 343. I’m a lifetime halo player and halo 3 was by far my favorite halo and this game has surprisingly passed my expectations. Though I’m not a huge fan of the sprinting around and faster game play than halo 2 and 3 this game is its own and is very good.
With that said… The community is awful (at least for me). What happened to the halo community? Did it fall apart after halo 3 or is that age in gaming over? I used to love how serious the community took every match, constant communication, and everyone demanded teamwork and 100% every match. Now it just feels like call of duty in terms of the community with teammates that do nothing but run mindlessly around the map doing whatever. I’ve played almost 20 matches and have only had 1 match where there was decent if at all any communication. Is this the case for everyone or am I just unlucky? I’m not going to quit playing for that reason and yes when my friends finally get on the game lol I’ll be playing with them. But is this what it’s come to? I sure hope not.

lol what. I’ve played all the Halo games and it was never like this. The amount of times I got told I’m garbage from butthurt players or the times they’ve inserted their -Yoink!- into my mother has never stopped.
I agree. After Halo 3 and MW2 it seems like less and less people communicate in lobbies. It sucks when you play alone and you have a bunch of suckish teammates and it makes it harder to find friends to play online with. I do love this game so much though. Add me on Xbox @TheeTaylorG and maybe we can get a team going.

I’m talking about in ranked how everyone cared about their rank. If you played halo 2 and 3 you know what I mean. I’m not referring to trash talking.
There is nothing wrong with the community. Maybe you should to know people around here and make some friends instead of insulting them and saying their community is terrible. The is a whole section of like minded fans looking to party up and “talk tactics/banter” online with people in the recruitment section of the forum.
FYI: party chat changed the landscape of online communication. Not the 14yrs of change the halo community has gone through.

Lol (their)? I’ve been playing this franchise longer than half the people on these forums so it’s my community as well buddy.
