Gravity Hammer Theory

I estimate it will be returning in the form of a Promethean weapon. The covenant do base their weaponry on Forerunner technology, so why not?

Then why would the Achievement picture show, clearly, a Brute’s Gravity Hammer?

Perhaps, and if so, I like it. However calling it a “hammer” would be kind of wierd.

But the Brutes created the Gravity Hammer. I don’t think the Brutes ever based their technology on the Forerunners’, just look at their weapons.

it says Gravity Hammer, not Promethean Gravity Hammer or any other whacky thing. The covies simply still use the regular GH.

My guess would be that the Rogue Elites have taken these after the war, or the Infinity has stolen some for scientific reasons.

It is an achievement picture not canon or in-game footage.

My theory is that the faction either stole it, looted it, or bought from jirlhanae or the kig yar. Examples of this are in glasslands, shipmasters and leaders are scrambling for ships and weapons, and other tools like engineers or the buggers.

Still, that’s like having a picture of the halo 3 shotgun for a shotgun achievement in reach, you can be 99.9% sure the picture will not be of another variant.

EDIT: @Segggy (forgot to copy)

I think the Storm group has some stolen Jirlhanae weapons

-_-

I think it’s safe to assume the Gravity Hammer will make a return, as there is some substantial evidence which suggests it’s in H4. Besides… you can’t have Grifball without it, and what would Halo be without one of the greatest sports ever created?

That’s like having an achievement for the BR and having a picture of the DMR.

It will be the exact same in Halo 4 as it was in Halo Reach, only with “updated” sounds like every other weapon.

What if the chief takes it from the covenant stolen tech portion of the infinity? I bet my bottom dollar that is where its from.

Seems like a more plausible theory. I still want my Forerunner Hammer though :frowning:

Except the Achievement description says Gravity Hammer.

There are any number of plausible reasons as to why the Storm faction has a Gravity Hammer. Heck. It doesn’t even have to be the Storm faction with it. Could be the UNSC has a cache of alien weapon tech that they are trying and reverse engineer.
