In all my matches of Ricochet so far I have never seen a gravity hammer spawn in this map but in one match it spawned right where the needler spawns. Has anyone else ever seen this before? [Was watching the person who got it on Theatre ]

Yep, Ive had it in one game of ricochet, its VERY rare… but its there.
Same as someone had A binary rifle too somehow idk how that was possible
The Needlers on the map are Random Ordnance Drops. Therefore, they are on an Infinity timer. Random Ordnance Drops can be set in Forge to have multiple weapon options. I assume that this one has multiple Needler options, with a single Gravity Hammer option, creating a common occurrence of the drop of a Needler, while making the Gravity Hammer a rare option left to chance and random factors.

Could be a glitch with ordinance as well. I notice glitches all the time with ordinance. One time, I was going for the saw on Abandon, and the saw dropped half way through the map, half of the saw was in the ground, half of it I could see. I couldn’t pick it up and before I noticed what was wrong, I got assassinated. Flawless Ordinance right there.
I’ve seen the Gravity Hammer spawn on Pitfall once before as well. It’s very very rare, but it appears once in a while.

Yeah, I’ve had weapon spawn halfway through the map, on top of the map in an unreachable spot, below the map, hell even one of my ordinance drops landed on my teammates banshee, killed the driver, and got booted since it was a betrayal. That flawless ordinance eh.
I took a look at Pitfall in forge. Each random drop holds one object and only one random drop has the gravity hammer so chances of it appearing are low with all the other possible drops on the map.

that’s hilarious.
I dropped mine on a banshee once. I was recall annoyed as I couldn’t reach it
I’ve played two or three games so far where it has spawned on Sword-side in the upper room, near the ramp that connects it to the middle platform of the map. Only place I have seen it spawn. Seems to be a rare/random drop.

From what they are saying, though, the Gravity Hammer is only spawning where the Needler typically does, and the only 2 locations of that are in front of each team’s base/goal. You also have to remember that Matchmaking maps can and will be modified to differ gameplay from the default variant of the map that we are given.
OK so I took a look at the Matchmaking variant of Pitfall, and found some interesting things about it. I played a game of Ricochet just to download it. When I took it into forge, here are my results:

As for the original post of this thread, my theory was incorrect. The Random Ordnance drops of Needlers all contain sole Needlers. No randomized option of a Gravity Hammer in them whatsoever.

The Matchmaking variant of Pitfall doesn’t have a Random Ordnance Drop of a Gravity Hammer in this area, or in any other area of the map for that matter. It just doesn’t exist. However, below that, next to the lift up to that area, is a Random Ordnance Drop of a SAW.

There are a lot more Random Ordnance Drops than I originally thought there was. There are many random drops of Shotguns, Snipers, different types of Grenades, and even in the middle hallway there are 2, one with the Incineration Cannon and the other with Overshields.

When I went into Forge on the Matchmaking variant of Pitfall, there are no Ricochet objectives, despite the fact that I just played Ricochet on this very map. It shows that Pitfall was designed, in fact, for the Ricochet gametype.
I played for the first time last night. I saw a Hammer marking near the sword spawn, but I don’t remember if I was playing Ricochet or IS…

Probably Infinity Slayer. The Gravity Hammer doesn’t exist on the Ricochet variant.

If that is the case then how did this Gravity hammer so conveniently spawn infront of the guy who had it right when he came to that area is what I am wondering, Because there are no ordinance drops in Ricochet.
