Why hasn’t anyone talked about Gravemind? It seemed that “it” was such a big deal in Halo 3 and then all of a sudden it doesn’t get brought up anywhere. Did I miss something in Halo 3?
Yeah, he died.
> Yeah, he died.
Can you please be a little more specific? I don’t even remember that happening. Been so long.

It’s been a while for me too, but I believe that when the ring was activated it killed the covanent fleet as well as the Flood and the Gravemind, as well as cutting the ship MC was in in half, as it collapsed the slip-space portal.
NO you guys…The topic of the flood was killed a whole year ago when 343 talked about how the flood was in no way in Halo 4, thus ruling the Gravemind out
No Flood in Halo 4. They’ll probably be back in Halo 5 though.
In Halo 3, you confront the Gravemind when High Charity crash lands on The Ark in the level “The Covenant”.
You then go to High Charity to find Cortana, and detonate it’s fusion reactor destroying the City, and mortally wounding the Gravemind.
Now that you have Cortana and the Index, you travel to Halo to activate the Ring (and wipe out the remaining Flood in the are) and find out the Gravemind is trying to rebuild itself there.
You activate Halo, -Yoink-, and every living thing in a wide radius of The Ark is killed, including all the Flood, and the Gravemind.
Now that’s not to say that there aren’t other Graveminds out there. His conciousness exists in all Flood, and when another group of Flood on another Halo, or a Shield World get enough Biomass to create another one, he will live again. But until then, no Gravemind to worry about.
