I finished the H2 campaign again and questions linger on. I don’t know if this was ever explained, but how did the Gravemind get from the Halo to High Charity, and then in H3 he starts building himself on the Ark and then on Delta Halo 2. Is this explained ever? I figure he could have used the Halo teleportation network to get to High Charity.
If he didn’t teleport and planted a piece of himself on High Charity, that would mean the Gravemind of H2 is still on Installation 5.
Talks about the Gravemind in detail and how it will gain knowledge from all sentient life it absorbs. Including, in theory, the knowledge of how to use the teleportation system on the Halo installations. It gained access to High Charity by boarding and crashing UNSC In Amber Clad into the holy city. From there it had full access to slip space and numerous covenant ships to spread the infection.
