Gravemind? what does it mean?

So a few minutes ago i played a game of flood, And i got an medal called gravemind.
But, I was stupid enough to close the stats before i looked what it means.
I tried to search for it in my stats but couldn’t find it
So anyone know what it means?

I think once the round ends after you get a Gravemind medal the announcer says “The Ancient One awakens!” or something like that. Anyone confirm?

Strange that you would get gravemind without getting ancient one… but still congrats.

Ancient One is awarded when you are a Flood and you get at least one kill during the round and do not die.

You would get an Ancient One automatically if you get a Gravemind, but they are different medals.

Well, strictly spoken you can get the gravemind medal without getting the ancient one. If you die once or more time(s) before you slaughter all of them would result in only getting the gravemind medal.

I have only had a few ancient one medals and no graveminds, so I am only speculating on my own experiences.

I don’t know you could be right. It says killing them in a row though. So I assume you can only get it if you get both medals at once.

All HALO 4 Medals are listed here. Useful in times like these.

Anyway That ancient one, you guys are talking about… I don’t have that one.
But i got the grave mind, Pretty weird right?

Ancient One: Survive an entire round as a Flood and convert at least one Spartan.

Perhaps the reason for that is, that u killed all Spartans in a row, as Flood, without dying. Earned the “Gravemind” Medal, got killed, thus breaking the link for earning the “Ancient One” Medal, which requires u to not die at all

I got gravemind a few weeks ago. But i died once. The award says you have to get it without dying, but it doesn’t matter. You just have to kill everyone. The award is just a little messed up

But if you kill all the Spartans without dying everyone in the game is now a Flood and doesn’t that mean the round is over?

Your service record show that you never got the medal…
Maybe you understand it wrong?

I suppose if the last Spartan kills you right as you kill them that could stop you getting the Ancient One.
