Grapplehook shouldn't stay in future campaigns

still the same thing it was hated by a lot off players.

i like then also but infinite is the best off then all.

what there going to do then adding the Voltaic upgrade more to the grapplehook in the multiplayer?

still the problem is the out off the map glitch’s there use.
and then you still have the other easter egg what is close to the tank gun.
the artillery easter egg where you need the grapplehook for to active it.
then you have the excavation site drill easter egg what is not a bug at all.

that is your complain about it.
i have more a blast with it and its the best one ever.

the freedom you have.
to best things you can do at all.
i have replay it 6 time’s the full campaign all.
and all the 6 time’s i have use diffrend way’s more how to defeat boss’s more if there was a option to do it and sometime’s i have found new way’s to defeat then on a other funny way more.
and do things here and there what diffrend.
and i am still going to replay the full campaign again after the first DLC if there add new things in it to try then out also in diffrend way’s.

Hugely agreed, the grapplehook was fun to play with at some points but didn’t contribute well to a halo game imo.

Particularly with how unexciting the vehicle physics were, and how poorly designed the map was for traversing by vehicle, it just felt like I spent the whole game ziplining from spot to spot. I didn’t have many “Halo” moments looking at a big view because I was just zipping from place to place straight over the mountains.

The free grapple was fun on the first 2 levels but past that point it contributes to the ‘sameness’ this game’s campaign suffers from. It cuts down on variety. You don’t have ‘that cool grapplehook level’ you have the entire game.

The Grappleshot and Repulsor are better than all of Reaches AAs and H4.

You Need to get a life and stop whining oh and learn how to use the thing better plus as new areas in DLC will come out for the campaign eventually I’m sure the grappling hook will be very useful

It’s probably not going anywhere. I think the player just has to make that conscious decision not to do immersion breaking stuff like rapidly drag themselves forwards for extra speed.

Also on a desert environment with more flat terrain I suspect vehicles will be more prominent in traversing the map.

I did hear one of the campaign Devs give an interview where he seemed to say that one of the bases they had in the works got cut because of the grapple. Was meant to be an ascending hex maze but that was invalidated by the grapple since you could go where you want. Which would be a shame.

Wow, cope. Keep coping. I literally said how I abuse grapplehook and it ruins the game for making it too easy, and your suggestion is to get better at using it. Zero reading comprehension. Cope. Campaign is not going to get better and DLC won’t make grapple have a unique purpose. It makes travelling super easy, combat super easy, hijacking super easy, skipping areas super easy, game breaking super easy, glitching super easy, get out of bounds super easy, etc. Grapple is a crutch that ruins the game even more than sprint ever did, and people hate sprint.

I wonder how much of the campaign and gameplay had to be scrapped or redesigned, to either include grapple, or because grapple breaks the idea. Imagine if grapple existed in breath of the wild. The game would be ruined. All puzzles ruined.

Well here’s an idea if you don’t like the grappling hook in the game than simply don’t use it I don’t want the grappling hook to be removed just to please a few people think it makes the game too easy and I thought I complained over stupid stuff

That’s like telling people if you don’t like sprint, thrust, or how bad the vehicles handle in Infinite, just walk then. Nobody wants to walk this massive empty wasteland campaign, but we also don’t want to spam grapple until our controllers break, because the map is too big to just walk it, and vehicles are worthless for getting around the map. 343 needs to give the grapple a solid purpose, and make the open world suck less. I have no issues walking in any other open world game. Infinite is just void of content and grapple breaks the Halo experience

Look there’s a lot of things they’ve changed in the Halo games that I didn’t like and I had made multiple multiple multiple post on the old Halo Waypoint and it changed nothing so why should they listen to you but not me

You are insane. The grapple hug is by far the best thing that in the halo since equipment.

people that hate sprint have that option same with the vehicles there have that option also.
the only problem with grapplehook is you are more force to use it at some missions.

you only can spam the grapple hook when you have the bandana skull on and without the skull active you have still a cooldown time.

then use a ghost, warthog, razorback, chopper,Wasp.banshee or wraith options left to use.

here is a question for you.
if you hate the grapplehook how do you face the brute Chieftain on the last mission the last boss fight on legendary difficulty then since you need to use the grapplehook if you wane keep a distance between you and him for sure.

Nobody will voluntarily choose to walk the whole campaign, that’s absurd

An upgraded grapple has a very short cooldown. Combined with super slides, for grapple hyper slides, you can travel a great distance in seconds. When I say spam, I don’t mean mashing the button, I mean the grapple button is 99.99% of the buttons pressed in the whole campaign

Ghost is decent, and Wasp is cheese city. All the rest suck at driving, and easily flip or get stuck on rocks. Infinite has the worst vehicle handling.

Once you get the Wasp, the Campaign goes from Grapple simulator to Wasp simulator, where 99.99% of the time, you’re flying everywhere and killing bosses from a distance, also ruining the whole point of an open map and boss fights, ruining the Halo experience.

Bruh, Cloaking Thrusters and Shock Drop Wall also exist, but if your argument is to cheese spam Grapple EMP on the Brute Chieftain until he dies, instead of shooting him dead, that’s just proving that Grapple abuse makes the game too easy and ruins the Halo experience

now there are people that are doing it since there hate the sprint mechanics more and not use it.
so tell it to then that there are absurd then since there are people that are doing it.

its only when you use the Quickshot upgrade that reduces the cooldown by 40% if you not wane use it thats your call more if you not wane upgrade the grapplehook with the quickshot upgrade.

here is the best thing try to master it since then you can counter the warthog when its about to flip over same with the stuck on the rocks is all about to master it.

now we not have the grapplehook problem anymore but more the Wasp has become more a new problem in your eyes.
what is the next problem the scorpion tank?

i only need the grapplehook to keep my distance from him and use dynamo grenate’s to stun him and my 2 friends plasma grenate’s and skewer can clean the job for me.

The Scorpion Tank has the worst controls of them all. Have you never noticed? 343 decided it would be a “great” idea to make it drive in reverse while holding forwards, if you aim the cannon to the side or behind, making it such a hassle to drive. All the vehicles are pretty bad, but Wasp is the least bad, it’s pretty decent, which makes people feel it’s OP, since it’s the only reliable vehicle

i have noticed there are what worse then in the older halo game’s.
but i have master the new controls from the scorpion tank so its not any problem at all.
you only need to practise a lot and its become easy like the new controls from the warthog that have become also a lot easyer with a lot off practise.

with some practise and there become not that bad at all.
and really OP the Wasp.
i not know how many time’s my wasp has been destory by the banshee’s so OP is maybe not the right thing to call then.
the warthog is more better to use then the wasp.

This I kinda agree with. It’s much alike what Spartan abilities were in Halo 5. As something scattered and sprinkled amongst the pickups it would be fantastic, maybe with the option to go in with the abilities on a subsequent play through, but right off the bat it was an overly generous addition to the game.

As a limited use supplemental tool much like the other forms of equipment within the sandbox it works impeccably such as seen in multiplayer.

As a rechargeably permanent “supplemental” tool it acts as more of a crutch contributing to the “super-man” fantasy without requiring much effort from the player to achieve.

The armor abilities were trash and made no sense to be honest. The lore behind it for a halo campaign made no sense and it broke gameplay in multiplayer.

The grappleshot is needed in open world halo and I find it fun. It’s definately staying since it’s the new thing for halo infinite

Honestly, once you learn how to drive all the vehicles they’re pretty easy. The scorpion tank does get turned around a lot though, which is annoying
