So i’ve always been a fan of the Halo graphics being new and smooth playing and always better than the last as most games do, but after looking at the new photos as released by Gameinformer the graphics looked a bit like Halo 4. Obviously the graphics would not be 100% superior and maybe it was the lighting or the pictures but do these graphics look a bit like Halo 4 to anyone else?
Well the art styles are identical so of course they will look very similar.
Also, a couple things to take into consideration:
- We are entering the point of diminishing returns. With each console generation from now on, the jump in graphics quality will be less significant than the one before it.
- Halo 5 is targeting 60fps whereas Halo 4 targeted only 30. If Halo 5 were to target 30 fps, we would see a much more significant difference in graphical quality.
- Halo 5 has much more detailed and realistic lighting. In the screenshots we see Ambient Occlusion in the little nooks and crannies of the armor. We see sub surface scattering in the skin of the characters. And overall a much more realistically lit environment coupled with higher resolution textures

Yes i did think about point 1 but not about the others, I realized just then I had not upped my graphics on my computers videos to 720p and above so that made a huge difference but thanks for the help.
