Simply put. How do you people feel between the graphics and the split screen limitations of halo 5
They should just lower the resolution like they did with H2A. Splitscreen only allowed in campaign @900p would be fine for me.
Better Performance > Splitscreen
Not that this thread won’t get locked because we don’t need another thread on this issue, but if Frankie is to be believed, the game’s “simulation” runs at 60 FPS and therefore it cannot work at 30 FPS. This means it would be essentially impossible for the Bone to run split-screen at 60 FPS unless you want to play Halo 5 w/ Halo: CE graphics.
Now presumably having the simulation run at 60 FPS makes 60 FPS gameplay better for players playing in 60 FPS. I assume this because I can’t imagine why they would build something under-the-hood that needs 60 FPS to work unless it hugely benefited gameplay. So while they could have built a game that could work at 60 FPS or 30 FPS, they instead chose to build one that just works at 60 FPS for the benefit of 95% of players who will not be using split-screen.
So I am okay w/ the loss of split-screen in exchange for solid 60 FPS gameplay w/ a game that was 100% intended to play best at 60 FPS. Having to accommodate 30 FPS players presumably hurts gameplay at 60 FPS because the underlying simulation would have to work differently.
I look at it as a case of the needs of the many…

This. I want solid 60fps and fantastic graphics, the splitscreen thread was just locked, I really wish this had been posted on that though.
