Graphics Help

My brother just bought an HDTV and my grapics actually got worse than my old TV!(I have been using an old TV with a giant back and everything that was around 6 years old) The grapics are amazing up close but anything about 10 feet away-the resolution gets REALLY blurry, I can’t tell who is on my team or not and the environment disappears and I can only see it when I zoom in(sometimes). I tried going through my settings and everything but nothing seems to work. The new TV is an LED TV (I also tried playing H4 on a plasma and the same thing happened) with an HDMI cable and everything. Is there something I am missing? I actually stopped playing H4 entirely because of this. Can anyone help?

Have you tried adjusting the resolution to 720p, 1080i, or 1080p? Do any of those look better or worse?

Did you set your XBox to HD? Also, Halo 4 is in 720P, so if you have anything set to 1080i or 1080P, that could be causing it. Check all video settings with the tv, XBox, and Halo 4.

Make sure you are using an HD-compatible cable. If you were using a composite cable (red, yellow, white) on the old TV, then using them on the new TV won’t allow the Xbox 360 to send HD signals to the new TV. You must use an HDMI cable or component cables to send HD signals to an HDTV. Then, you must also have the settings correct on your Xbox 360 to what ever the resolution your new HDTV supports.

I was busy the past few days but I’ll look into all your guys’ information. Now a days I work and go to school and my bro plays xbox most of the time. Anyways, I’ll see what’s up and see if i can fix it and post back what happens. Thanks for all the help guys. REALLY appreciate it
