A while back didn’t Microsoft promise us that the game engine would be in 1080p and locked at 60fps at all times? Then why does mine always dip down to 20-50 frames? Also the graphics don’t look very spectacular, from a distance everything looks realistic but that has become the norm for video games today. But if you go up close to grab an eyeful then you’ll see the textures are in 144p or lower… Even more false advertisement.
Dear lord. I’m putting my two weeks in.
Some of the textures are total -Yoink- but textures don’t have anything to do with the game’s resolution.
The game was advertised as being dynamic resolution… No false advertising.
Yeah they aren’t very impressive to be honest. I laugh everytime I see enemies and other players in the distance running like robots.
the game is 720p to maintain 60fps. graphics are good but not the best, however i dont play games for the graphics

I’m sure it’s a little higher than that, fluctuating between 900 and 1080 depending on what’s going on in the game at that time
Meh. Halo’s selling point’snever really been graphics. They look fine, at least by my standards.
In order to keep up with a smooth 60 fps 343 had to turn down the graphics. It’s a shame that the Xbox one hardware is so underpowered. Hopefully a pc version will come out soon that will have better textures and graphics.

laugh
This is a console… The budget of the budget. Even a low budget graphics card that isn’t overclocked, like the GTX 670 can output better graphics. SLI, even better… So you get what you paid for with a console. Want better graphics? Go complain to Microsoft for not allowing the game to be on PC.

true that i notice the same thing im wondering if they are gonna fix this graphics some day with a patch
does anyone really care all you need is the game to be playable and it is playable. get over the little differences that most likely only over compulsive or VERY VERY keen eyed people will notice. plus i dont have a problem with the graphics the game look really really good to me
To be fair, Halo is one of the better looking games on the Xbox One. The problem isn’t Halo, it’s the fact that Microsoft underpowered the Xbox. The GPU is extremely weak and is several generations behind current graphics cards. It was out of date on release day, and is just falling further behind.
But… if you want amazing graphics, buy a PC. Consoles are meant to be cheap gaming devices, not rendering farms. It does it’s job and the game plays fairly well, and I have fun on it.
If you play Halo 5 then go back to older Halo’s, you’ll see.
Depends on a number of factors, first tv, who cheap is your set? Is it top of the line or Wal-Mart’s special? Next inter, net for online play, last how good are your eyes 20/20, you still need help seeing it all and glare protectin.
I think Halo 5 looks good. Sure the low frame rate of distant characters looks a bit silly sometimes but it’s not horribly distracting. Guess I’m just not much of a graphics guy. Game plays like a dream so I don’t care much what it looks like.
I believe the lowest it can go is 900p. The engine is also designed to never fall below 60 fps, which is why it drops to 900p. Halo 5 is one of the best looking shooters out there (except for the BTB maps.) You would be hard-pressed to find a game besides battlefront that looks better, which I would argue isn’t even true. Other than that, I don’t see any games that are that close other than the Order which is just amazing and maybe killzone. Those games don’t have the slickness of Halo 5, though.
I think that the texture 343 used in the game were low res, not the performance of frams and graphics the console can perform
