Full disclosure, I love the game. I think it’s shaping up to be one of the most balanced and enjoyable Halo titles yet. It’s easily the best Halo game since H3. That being said, I think the graphics are a bit sub par. It looks no better than Halo 4, and the jaggies are a bit jarring to look at. I know it’s just the beta, and that everything is subject to polish at the end. I just hope the final product looks a little better.
I’m pretty sure the textures and graphics are just dumbed down for the beta to test how everything works. The primary goal is seeing how everyone reacts to the gameplay, servers and weapons. The final game is sure to look amazing if all goes well.
Agreed. Halo 4 looked amazing on the Xbox 360, I was really impressed. I was expecting to have the same feeling for Halo 5, but that’s not yet the case. Of course the campaign always looks much better than multi. Multi is all about speed.
The beta is 720p with lots and lots of unfinished textures. They’ve stated that the image isn’t what matters to them right now, the beta is about perfecting gameplay. They do the improvement to 1080p and full textures. Honestly, I’m already impressed.

Yeah, I agree. It’s a year away and the game still looks nearly as good as Halo 4. I’m hoping there’s a significant amount of polish that goes into it, still.
Yeah, it will look much better next year at release. Right now, I’d say it’s pretty great. I just need to find a good team to rack up the wins! Haha!
Yea man they’re not worried much about graphics and textures. Just the gameplay right now. They state it in their opening message before you get to the start menu. No worries man.
