GPU Upgrade For Infinite?

So not to long ago I made a post talking about the terrible performance I had on Halo Infinite on an RX 560 2GB, but then I noticed that the performance is a bit better on the BTB flight, not the biggest improvement, but it’s certainly there, and I think that I might be able to get a solid framerate on low settings while running lower than 1080p.

Though I’m not sure how ideal that way of playing is, and I was thinking of getting an RX 580 8GB since that’s one of the best mid range cards out there, but then I was thinking, are there any cards the community can recommend me whether it be high tier or mid tier, and I’ll my budget is around 2k$

If it helps here are my specs

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 560 2GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2300X Quad Core Processor
RAM: 8GB ( single channel )

You can also recommend me anything else if you want.

And if it also helps my PSU is 500-600W

Plus keep in mind, I’m also thinking about the future here, not just Infinite, like what would be best for next 3-5 years or something like that.

how well does the rx 560 run halo, also to answer your question if your spending big may aswell go nvidia unless you find a good deal then just get whatever you can
before upgrading your gpu might aswell upgrade your cpu and ram while your at it

Since no one is being honest, I guess I will.

If you expect to be able to play halo at anything close to above 60fps, You’re going to need a new PC.

The GPU is atrocious, it only has 2gb of VRAM lmao… even low settings takes about 4gb of VRAM. The CPU is also weak lol. To make things as bad as possible, not only do you only have 8gb of RAM but its single channel… YIKES.

Your PSU is overkill for such a weak system. Time for a completely new PC dude.

I would recommend you a RTX 3080 for 165 fps. Or atleast a 2060. I cant see DLSS in the settings but if it is implemented (or AMD FX) you will see great fps with a £400/or less card (I know, maybe not these days, but thats what it was when I bought it in Dec 2019).

I have a 9700k and a 3070 and I’m pinned at my max 165fps on 4v4 MP and between 145-165 on BTB

He could even get a 2070 and have it be a HUGE upgrade. But they reallllllly need to get dual channel 16gb RAM or it’ll lose them 30-40fps. ESPECIALLY with AMD CPUs
