so I like building obstacle courses in my forge games, so when I heard about scripting I thought the possibilities were endless, and for the most part it’s pretty friggin cool and awesome, but a lot of the times the scripting doesn’t do what you have it programmed to do… In a sense.
Example ive been messing around in forge and I made a cylinder that spins, kinda like a rolling log, and sometimes instead of rolling it rolls and bobs violently up and down or left and right.
Granted it’s nothing terrible or game breaking, goodness no it’s actually really funny to see just a random item you placed just freaking out in the distance.
but I would like my scripts to actually do what I programmed them for.
Granted not the biggest problem in halo 5 cough cough map rotation, lack of gametypes, somewhat bad matchmaking,
but I just thought I’d address a little issue.
Some things are pretty glitchy in Forge but I still love it. Working on a multi-stage mech that emerges from the ground…
The Script issue I find is utilizing the Cargo door on the Cargo containers… Ive got a map that I build with a lot of Cargo cans…both infantry and veh…I would like to see 1 script to pivot a object at a certain point, instead of always at the center, like at the hinge on the door…I know the work around is to weld a smaller object to it and rotate that object but I think it cold be a lot easier…
Its mad useful for machinimas too. What you once had to do in CGI you can now do in-game…so much easier
