Happened to me too. Thought I was sure I had it. Clearly didn’t. I got it now though.

Use the black Inc Canon. Or The Answer.

Getting the last shot on the Warden is 25% timing 75% luck.

If you play enough Firefight you’ll get it eventually, you’re chances are better than in Warzone where there’s about 20 other players fighting over him.

I’m starting to think that getting the last shot on any boss has no effect on who gets the medal, and that it’s all just pre-determined.

Even with the incineration cannon a smg can still take it a scorpion takes about 5% hp every shot (I think) so even if you shoot him at low health the scorpion always wins over the incineration cannon ( I just used the scriopion as a example)

I had always believed it is random. But it you want the kill commendation SMG him.

I still have a few wardens to get and it’s been on the same stat for ages! Lol!

Yup, pretty much this!

The Warden Eternal is the last Enemy commendation I need to complete for much this reason. The game awards you points for killing the Warden much more liberally than it awards you a tick on the commendation.

Not that I’m in a rush. I don’t have a single Gametype group completed.

Don’t use the SMG. Yes it’s a fun weapon and the kinetic bolts one is powerful but don’t do it. I did it and it can be very frustrating because often there’ll be a hundred knights around the Warden and you need to get close which isn’t easy with so many enemies around.

Just grab a free inc canon from the knights around (preferably River of Light) go hide or better yet use the answer and hide and when his health is at 10-15% just unleash hell. The Answer is a super fun and powerful weapon. I did them with River of Light that I got free from the Knights around. The regular inc cannon didn’t help me much I got it maybe 1 out of 5-6 with the answer I got it nearly all the time. Same with River of Light.
