Got the classic BR REQ today. Really like it. For those that don’t know it’s the BR with the scope of past Halo games.
I do not like it to much as its functionality is dwarfed by the longshot BR. The zoomed in view is a homage to how it looked in previous games (H2/H3), but its zoom level is not as useful as the long shot scope zoom.
On a side note, you can’t even call it classic BR. The only resemblance this “Classic BR” has to the original is the fact that its scope is cylindrical in shape. If it actualy looked like a BR55 then it would be worthy of the title.
It’s my go to scope now. I use the silenced version once req4 hits.
I have unlocked every weapon in the game and still never use the classic scope, something about it just doesn’t suit me. Same for the longscopes I always go for the first normal br.

I too found that I prefer the standard issue optics for whatever weapon I am using. Maybe they don’t actually modify the auto-aim ranges… It just feels wrong to me. But that’s good, I mean, you don’t want an AR to out-gun a standard BR just because it has a scope.
It looks nothing like the classic BR. The scope, and… What else? Absolutely nothing else!
