So how long do I have to wait to be able to earn more xp?
Yeah I just hit mine a few hours back too…which kind of sucks, I really want to keep playing but there kind of isn’t a point now is there? Hah…still not sure an xp cap was the way to go.
what seems like forever. I read somewhere it resets when the challenges change, but i could be wrong

There is a point…playing. You play the game to play the game. Its not about the xp or the rank, its all about the game, and how you play it.

Oh, of course, I love grinding and working hard and have absolutely no reward or accomplishment. Give all these cool new toys, armor and other things and when you are working up and almost about to achieve them, they slap your wrist as you try and grab it and say “What the hell do you think you’re doing? You’ve got to wait for the rest before you can proceed.” Makes perfect sense.
For me I maxed at 8pm lifted at 12 pm

Should have grown up during the 80s or 90s back then you played games for fun not magical number. Then again that’s how people got good at games. Because you know… They played them.
Oh trust me, I do my fair share of playing just to play, but this here is also a brand new game that I want to try and get everything I can out of it. Sorry that it frustrates me when they purposely ensure that people can not do that. Seems kind of eff’d up to me.

Some people don’t like having their profiles linked to their gamertags. anyone who went through Halo 3’s online community knows why. proves nothing.

^this^ I agree. It contradicts the game in many ways.
The fact is the XP cap is -Yoink- I bought the game it is my time to do with it as I please. 343 and Bungie are the worst at figuring out what legit gamers want. And what made Halo awesome like no mid match startups and no reloading of players has officially been destroyed. I like alot about the game but once again I feel Bungie has missed the mark on what the majority wants and likes.

Yes, i havent. But i have played Halo: Reach even when i reached the cR cap. I just play some Campaign or Firefight, maybe -Yoink- around in Forge and Customs. Just replace “Firefight” with “Spartan OPs” and that exactly the same thing I would do in Halo 4.
The point of my post was games used to be about just playing and having fun. It still is, some people just feel they deserve a reward besides the thrill of the game.

and the dude talking about playing the game just to play the game - not everyone plays games for just to play. It’s preference, he bought it, he can do whatever the hell he wants on it.
