I’ve previous had a handful of running riots but now have finally gotten my first Rampage in Halo 5. That’s 20 kills without dying, for those wondering.
Game ended 50 to 20. I finished with 23 kills and 1 death and was given a measly +7 points on my rank which is bum. Was mid-rank 2 yesterday. Now I’m mid-rank 1 which is booty since I’m almost at a 2 kd overall and 2:1 win loss ratio.

Your team was obviously massively over skilled compared to your opponents. So its natural you are only going to rank up a little bit. Now imagine if you went in against a team of pros and beat them. Your rank would go up much higher. The more skilled your opponents are, the higher you will level up. The rank system has a very deep learning curve like the H2 and H3 rank system.
NO WAY!!! i got this too!!! 23 kills and 1 death, i got it with the prophets bane and that was about the score, i think it was 50-17 with me. the enemy team was all onyx, and i moved up 17+

Ok not sure about that. I just rank up 20 points and won this game 50-10

It’s not a a set amount. There’s a formula I’m pretty sure, based on current rank of the enemy players, personal performance that game, and whether you won the game. Unfortunately, losing has a far greater consequence than the reward of winning.
